TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR SPRINGS PRESERVE’S
14th DÍA DE MUERTOS FESTIVAL
Family-friendly cultural event slated for Nov. 3-5
Southern Nevada’s largest and most authentic celebration of the Day of the Dead returns this fall as the Springs Preserve presents the 14th edition of its family-friendly Día de Muertos Festival, Nov. 3-5 from 5-9 p.m. each evening.
A limited number of tickets for each date are now on sale exclusively at springspreserve.org. Admission is $15 for adults and $9 for kids ages 3-17; children 2 and under get in free. Discounts are available for Springs Preserve members. Tickets will not be sold at the gate; be sure to reserve your tickets early as the event will sell out.
Rooted in centuries-old Latin American cultural traditions, the Springs Preserve’s Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival celebrates and honors the memory of loved ones who have passed. This year’s event will feature exciting activities for all ages including live theater and dance performances, music and mariachis, entertaining games, arts and crafts, food vendors, and much more.
A highlight of the event is the display of altars created by local artists, residents, and community groups to celebrate the lives of their dearly departed. Participants decorate the altars with photographs, poems and fun phrases, burning candles and incense, and offerings of their loved ones most cherished food and drinks. Event attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite altars and the “People’s Choice” winner will be announced at the conclusion of the festival.
