UNITED WAY OF SOUTHERN NEVADA ANNOUNCES 2023 PROJECT REACH SENIOR EXPO DATES
\United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN), a local non-profit celebrating 65 years in Southern Nevada, has announced the dates of the annual Project REACH Senior Expo events, beginning August 22 at The Orleans Casino & Hotel.
Project REACH provides financial assistance to seniors who are 62 years or older with past due utility bills. The program is specifically designed to help those experiencing economic hardship. It is directly funded by United Way of Southern Nevada’s Emergency Assistance Fund and is powered by the NV Energy Foundation.
Additional dates include:
- August 24 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m.: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall (5111 Boulder Highway)
- August 29 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m.: Aliante Casino, Hotel & Spa (73000 North Aliante Parkway)
- August 31 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m.: Palace Station Hotel & Casino (2411 West Sahara Avenue)
“The Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by the NV Energy Foundation, provide essential utility assistance and resources to seniors in our Southern Nevada community,” said Julian High, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada. “Project REACH assistance is especially crucial during the hot summer months and can contribute to the overall health and well-being of seniors in our community. UWSN takes great pride in collaborating with NV Energy, local utility providers, and our Project REACH nonprofit partners to ensure seniors in need receive this vital support.”

Eligible individuals and households can submit one application every 12 months and must meet the income eligibility guidelines. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility along with a copy of their past-due utility bill. Income eligibility and additional requirements can be found HERE.
