The UNLV track & field team will continue their 2022 outdoor campaign Saturday at the Rafer Johnson & Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational hosted by UCLA at Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, California. UNLV will be the lone Mountain West representative.
The 2022 Rafer Johnson & Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men’s discus and women’s long jump events, the meet will conclude at 5 p.m. with the men’s and women’s 4x400m relay. Hammer and Javelin events will be contested on Friday, March 25.
LAST TIME OUT: The Rebels opened up their 2022 outdoor campaign with the 2022 Occidental Invitational held in Los Angeles. Cassidy Osborne-Butler secured the women’s hammer throw title with a distance of 53.94m.
MOUNTAIN WEST LEADERS: Osborne-Butler sits sixth overall for the women’s hammer throw (53.94m), Mackenzie Moss sits seventh for the 3000m steeplechase (12:17.99), Morgan Aittama ranks seventh in the 5000m (21:22.59) and Aitza Romera sits 10th overall in the 800m (2:30.77).
