UWSN and NV Energy Team Up to Help Seniors With Overdue Utility Bills
Eligible seniors across Southern Nevada can access on-site help with
past-due utility bills at the Project REACH Senior Expos

United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has announced the dates of the annual Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by NV Energy, beginning Tuesday, August 19 at Palace Station.

UWSN’s Project REACH provides financial assistance to seniors who are 62 years or older with past-due utility bills. The program is specifically designed to help those experiencing economic hardship. It is funded by UWSN’s Emergency Assistance and Community Needs Fund and is powered by the NV Energy Foundation.

During the Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by NV Energy, various utility service providers will be on-site to provide utility bill assistance.

Upcoming Project REACH Senior Expo dates and locations include:

  • August 19 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m. at Palace Station Hotel & Casino (2411 West Sahara Avenue)
  • August 21 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m. at Aliante Casino & Hotel in the Scottsdale Ballroom (7300 North Aliante Parkway)
  • Augst 26 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m. at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall (5111 Boulder Highway)
  • August 28 from 8 a.m.—12 p.m. at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall (5111 Boulder Highway)

Eligible individuals and households can submit one application every 12 months and must meet the income eligibility guidelines. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility along with a copy of their past-due utility bill. Income eligibility and additional requirements can be found HERE.
