Down Wing Eating Challenge is Back This August
Saturday, August 2 at 4 p.m., with the grand prize winner walking away with $2,500.
On Tuesday, July 29, PT’s Taverns, a favorite neighborhood spot known for its crave-worthy wings and welcoming atmosphere, invites guests to honor National Chicken Wing Day and feast in preparation for the return of a beloved local tradition—the Ultimate Wing Down Wing Eating Challenge. Now in its fifth year, the annual event will take place at PT’s Ranch, located at 2430 E Pebble Road, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2.
Registration will start at 2:30 p.m. at the tavern and is priced at $10 per competitor with free entry for spectators, limited to the first 100 competitors. During the event, wing warriors can take their shot at glory, eating as many wings as possible in a set time.
Contestants will face off in timed rounds, racing to eat as many wings as possible and winners will be chosen based on quantity consumed. Top competitors from each round will face off to win, with the top three finishers each taking home a cash prize. First place will take home $2,500, second place will receive $1,000 and third place will earn $500. To get into the spirit, PT’s encourages guests to enjoy their favorite wings all week long and join the crowd for an afternoon of fun, flavor and fiery competition.
