Las Vegas’ First School of rock now open

Las Vegas’ first School of Rock is now open at 9340 W. Flamingo Rd., Suite 117.

School of Rock Las Vegas joins the ranks of over 70 other School of Rock locations in the United States and Mexico. The school, which teaches music through an innovative, performance-based curriculum, stimulates music education, appreciation and skill by focusing on nontraditional, yet proven, learning methods. School of Rock focuses on students ages 7 through 18. Adult programs are also available.

“I’m excited to see our doors open up to the public,” said Cammy Warden, general manager of School of Rock Las Vegas. “School of Rock turns traditional music education upside down with methods that really get the kids motivated.”

An official opening celebration will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the school on Saturday, Oct. 29. Two bands from the School of Rock in Sandy, Utah are scheduled to rock out in the parking lot and visitors are invited to tour the school and speak with the instructors. The celebration will be open to the public.

School of Rock students learn through a variety of enrollment options, which include private lessons, group band rehearsals, camp opportunities and lectures provided by professionals in the music industry. Parents and students interested in enrolling or booking a trial lesson can contact the School of Rock at (702) 778-9382.
