All fans wearing pink will receive half price admission, UNLV also at Wyoming on Sunday

The UNLV women’s soccer team begins the final stretch of the season this weekend, starting with a key home game against Air Force on Friday at 4:30 pm. That game is not only part of a double-header with the men’s team, who plays Kansas City at 7 pm that night, but its also Breast Cancer Awareness Day for both teams, and fans wearing pink can get admission for half price, while anyone with a military ID will also receive a free ticket. Friday is Rebel Kids Club Day and NYS Day as well, with activities for kids (that include bounce houses and face painting) starting at 3 pm and lasting until 8 pm.

There are three games left in the regular season and three chances left for UNLV to ensure itself of a spot in the postseason conference tournament. The top eight teams will advance to this year’s tournament, held in New Mexico, and UNLV comes into this weekend tied for seventh place, along with in-state rival Nevada, Reno. Two wins would clinch a spot in the tournament, and the good news for UNLV is it plays two of the three at home, Friday’s game against ninth place Air Force, and the season finale against Nevada, Reno next Friday. Sandwiched between the two is Sunday’s road game at fifth-place Wyoming. UNLV has won the past five games in Las Vegas against Air Force by a 13-0 margin, but has not won in Laramie since Oct. 9, 2006.

Both the Air Force and Wyoming games will have live stats available on Gametracker as well as a live video feed through the Mountain West Network, all available on UNLVRebels.com.
