Absolute Dental Teams Up with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer
Foundation of Nevada for a One Day Special Event at Cowabunga Bay
Benefitting Local Families of Children and Teens Diagnosed with Cancer
Tickets Now On Sale Online for Absolute Dental Cares Day on Saturday,
August 27 at Cowabunga Bay
Absolute Dental, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada and Cowabunga Bay are coming together to help Southern Nevada families touched by pediatric cancer. A portion of the ticket sales during the August 27 Absolute Dental Cares Day at Cowabunga Bay will benefit local children and teens served by Candlelighters.
All day passes on this day have been reduced to half the regular price of admission (regularly
$44.99) with $5 from each ticket sale going toward the work of Candlelighters. The tickets are
valid at both parks and there is no limit on how many tickets people may purchase.
“Community giving is part of Absolute Dental’s DNA,” said Julie Cotton, Director of Talent and
Community Partnerships at Absolute Dental. “Our entire company is involved in fundraising for
this important mission.”
Absolute Dental, a group of 40 dental practices throughout Nevada, has been partnering with
Candlelighters since 2019.”This year Absolute Dental has set the fundraising goal at $30,000 and have partnered with Cowabunga Bay/Canyon to help achieve it,” said Julie Cotton.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation is the first and oldest local organization focused
solely on children and teens diagnosed with cancer. The not-for-profit local organization
provides financial assistance, emotional support and quality of life programs and services to
families to help with the significant costs of childhood cancer including medical expenses, rent
and mortgage, and travel for treatment – are provided at no cost to the families – as long as the
child diagnosed with cancer is being treated in Nevada.

been an amazing community partner for many years, particularly during one of the most
challenging economic times in recent history,” said Kimberly Kindig, CEO, Candlelighters.
