Channel Tres DJ Set, with support from Jared Jackson of Soulection

Friday, Oct. 28 | Doors: 7 p.m.

Hailing from Compton, CA, celebrated musician and producer Channel Tres has perfected his signature sound – seamlessly blending West Coast rap and Chicago house, with a touch of soul and psychedelic funk. Originally an underground artist known throughout the LA music scene, Channel Tres’ success has grown over the last two years, selling out arenas and garnering praise from the likes of Elton John and Tyler the Creator. Tres’ music breaks through the noise of a traditional breakout rapper and producer from LA, telling a story not only through his lyrics but also through his music composition – drawing on the beats, rhythms and flows that defined his childhood and through that, transcending musical genres.

Yung Bae

Saturday, Oct. 29 | Doors: 7 p.m.

Known as the man behind the rise of ‘Future Funk,’ Dallas Cotton, known professionally as Yung Bae, has acquired cult-like fame in the underground sub-genre. Effortlessly unifying the sounds of smooth jazz, hip-hop, funk and disco, Yung Bae has homed in on his trademark sound that leaves listeners itching to groove. The Portland-based talent most recently debuted his long-awaited seventh studio album earlier this year “Groove Confidential: Side A” featuring collaborations with EARTHGANG, Jon Batiste, Channel Tres and more. The release received critical acclaim, with VICE calling Bae’s latest project one that “transcends the barren dystopia that was its predecessor …. Yung Bae is revitalizing a tired sound and becoming an artist who’s one to watch.”
