Aid for AIDS of Nevada Partners with Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub
for Official AFAN AIDS Walk After Party on April 16
Free Admission and $5 Donation to AFAN for Every Guest Dressed in Red
Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) will partner with Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for the Official AFAN AIDS Walk After Party on Monday, April 16.
All AIDS Walk participants are encouraged to join AFAN at Marquee and celebrate the success of the Walk with a one-hour open bar from 10 to 11 p.m., which will also serve as an AFAN fundraiser. Making the event a “Red Party,” Marquee will provide complimentary admission for anyone with an official AIDS Walk completion sticker from the previous day or those wearing red. The nightclub will also donate $5 to AFAN for every guest that arrives dressed in red. Music during the Red Party will be provided by DJ Lema.
“We are thrilled to have the support of Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub as the venue for our Official AFAN AIDS Walk After Party,” shared AFAN Executive Director Antioco Carrillo. “This event is a perfect way to celebrate the 2012 AIDS Walk and an entertaining continuation of our fundraising efforts. We are grateful to Marquee for their ongoing support and generosity, and we hope the 8,500 plus walkers will join us at the Red Party on April 16.”
Marquee will also award the individual with the highest personal fundraising total from this year’s AIDS Walk with a VIP table service experience for them and up to seven guests. The award will be valid from the date from the date of reception through Dec. 26, 2012.
MARQUEE Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub debuted as Las Vegas welcomed 2011 and quickly established itself as the number one destination for the world’s premier electronic music talent, putting Las Vegas on the map as the “New Ibiza,” according to MTV News. Marquee continues to take clubbing to the next level with its larger-than-life 40-foot LED DJ booth, dazzling custom visuals, state-of-the-art sound system with 32,000-watt subwoofers, and beautifully costumed dancers. The monumental, 60,000 square-foot, David-Rockwell-designed venue encompasses seven bars that transition patrons between three lavish rooms, an outdoor party deck and variant musical experiences.
Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state of Nevada. 2009 marked AFAN’s 25th anniversary of practicing its unyielding commitment to the community by providing unparalleled health expertise, support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada. Over the years, AFAN has created various programs that offer consistent and comprehensive assistance including direct client service programs, food programs, prevention and education programs and community outreach. As part of AFAN’s mission, these client service programs assist in enhancing the physical health and psychosocial wellness of the individuals they serve, while promoting dignity and improving the quality of their lives.
