Kourtney Kardashian hosted a season preview at Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon.  The mother of three brought a group of friends to Vegas for the day enjoy the pool party.  She arrived in a breezy Roberto Cavalli animal print dress and on the red carpet shared that boyfriend Scott Disick is doing well in rehab.  She also gave a glimpse into her family life, saying Mason is a great big brother, that her kids have play dates with their cousin North West all of the time, and that the whole family tries to get together to watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians each week.  The group took over a grand cabana, enjoying Champagne and signature dishes as fans screamed her name.  She made her way to the DJ booth where she set off the first fireworks of the Dayclub season with headliner Cash Cash.

Sia joined the festivities at Marquee Dayclub in support of Whole World Water. The Australian singer and songwriter showcased one of her signature face-obscuring headpieces and wore a red Whole World Water bracelet in honor of World Water Day, which is Sunday, March 22. Marquee Dayclub donated 100% of the proceeds from sales of the bracelet and 10% of all bottled water sales for the day to the Whole World Water Fund, which is used to fund clean and safe drinking water initiatives around the world.  Sia, along with family and friends gathered in a grand cabana where they feasted on favorites from the menu, along with water and Vita Coco.  Earlier in the day she was spotted having breakfast at The Cosmopolitan’s Wicked Spoon buffet.

Marquee – First Ever Winter Pool Party + Bruno Mars Surprises Fans

Sunday, February 16, Marquee Dayclub made history, throwing Las Vegas’ very first winter pool party during President’s Day Weekend. Joining forces with Insomniac to host the third annual Halfway to EDC bash, the event celebrated the six-month countdown to EDC Las Vegas. DJs Dash Berlin, Candyland, Paris Blohm, Firebeatz, Kennedy Jones and Jason Lema composed the talented lineup of heavy hitters as thousands of guests poured onto the rooftop venue, 17 stories above Las Vegas Blvd, to witness the monumental event.

Featuring a sound and lighting system unlike any seen before on a Las Vegas pool deck, the 22,000-square-foot temperature-controlled Dayclub Dome made its debut in grand fashion, keeping the space 15 to 20 degrees warmer than outside temperatures. The dome allowed party goers to rave from sun up to sun down as revelry ran late into the evening, marking a historic day for both Marquee and dayclub trends to follow.

The high energy party later transitioned into a multi-level nightlife experience. From the most-watched Super Bowl halftime performance to a residency at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ The Chelsea theatre, Bruno Mars took over Marquee Nightclub with his official concert after party.  Performing for a sold-out crowd at The Chelsea earlier Sunday evening, the Grammy-award winning artist was greeted by mass applause and cheers as he entered the venue and settled into a VIP table in the main room. Joined by a large group of friends, the soulful crooner jumped on stage to address the crowd, surprising fans with an impromptu performance of smash hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Bubble Butt.” Setting off a sea of flashes, Bruno thanked guests for partying with him as DJ Havana Brown kept the club anthems rolling.

Actor Darren Criss from “Glee” was also spotted at Marquee Nightclub with girlfriend Mia Swier.

Sunday afternoon, actor Ed Westwick, best known for his role on the television drama “Gossip Girl,” was spotted partying to the sounds of Dash Berlin at Marquee Dayclub’s season closing party. Both Westwick and Berlin were seen in Marquee beanies as the weather cooled down, and although it drizzled a bit, the party continued and the crowd raged on.

Sunday night, two-time America’s Best DJ winner Kaskade held a meet and greet with eager fans in The Library at Marquee Nightclub. He was announced onto the red carpet by the editor of DJ Times Magazine, Jim Tremayne, and the Senior Marketing Manager of Pioneer, David Arevalo. The three posed for several pictures and Kaskade took the time to shake every fan’s hand and sign memorabilia. In the main room of the nightclub, Seven Lions took to the decks and got the party started. Later that night, Tremayne and Arevalo hopped on stage to address the crowd and present Kaskade with a plaque as the winner of America’s Best DJ 2013 and a customized 24 karat gold Pioneer mixer. The packed house roared as the DJ accepted his newly earned title while thanking everyone for supporting him. Kaskade, known for his euphoric sound, is the first DJ to win the award twice and has done so in a span of just three years.

Sunday at TAO and LAVO, R&B songstress Ashanti continued her birthday weekend with dinner at TAO Asian Bistro followed by a late night stop at LAVO Nightclub, where the club hosted her official celebration the previous evening. At TAO she was accompanied by family and friends and enjoyed a selection of house favorites including the coconut shrimp, stay of Chilean sea bass, wok sirloin and chicken fried rice. Later that night, the group headed to a VIP table at LAVO where the club kept the festivities going with a special birthday presentation featuring a storm of confetti showers for the singer. Afterward, Ashanti joined DJ Vice, who was also celebrating his birthday, in the DJ booth to surprised club goers with an impromptu performance of “Foolish” and “Happy.”

Fatboy Slim Las Vegas Take Over Labor Day Weekend – September 4 at the Marquee Dayclub

MARQUEE DAYCLUB AT THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS

FATBOY SLIM
LAS VEGAS TAKE OVER

LABOR DAY WEEKEND –
SEPTEMBER 4

It really ain’t over til the Fatboy sings when it comes to Las Vegas. Legendary DJ/producer Fatboy Slim, a.k.a. Norman Cook, launched into the second date of his exclusive residency over July 4th weekend at Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Mother Nature kept bizarre weather at bay in favor of amazing beats for a pool party of unparalleled proportions.

Adorned in a yellow shirt complete with trademark Fatboy Slim smiley face and crossbones, he festively matched the three-story-high FBS balloon in one of Marquee’s two pools, plus the custom FBS logo décor throughout the Dayclub. Hyping the crowd via megaphone and rocking out barefoot in a custom plexiglass DJ booth built just for him over Marquee’s main pool, he kicked the pool party into high gear with samples of his “Praise You” melding into a funky disco-esque remix and drops of “Fatboy Slim is f—king in heaven.”

Fatboy Slim blew kisses to the ladies, played “Put Your Hands Up for Brazil” and some sexy salsa for a group in Brazilian shirts, plus worked in a bevy of crowd pleasers including “The Big Bad Wolf”, “Rock the Casbah”, “Jump Around”, Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved”, and concluded the set with a mash-up of “Rockafeller Skank” and the Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction”. Fatboy Slim’s whirlwind of tracks plus infectious energy spilled over to the Fourth of July weekend warriors splashing in the sun. And with his sounds working them into a frenzy, FBS’s ability to play to the crowd brought the vibe at Marquee Dayclub to new heights.

Be sure to catch Fatboy Slim’s final date of his summer residency with Chuckie on Labor Day Weekend – September 4 at Marquee Dayclub.

MARQUEE NIGHTCLUB & DAYCLUB AT THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS JULY 2011

MARQUEE NIGHTCLUB & DAYCLUB
AT THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS
JULY 2011

Saturday, July 2
DIRTY SOUTH + AVICII @ Dayclub
Remixed and specially edited versions of his classics have just been released on the compilation ‘Strictly Dirty South,’ but this Serbian-Australian DJ is far from slowing down. Known for his Grammy-nominated remix of Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” with Axwell last year, Dirty South returns to Marquee every month for his epic Starphazing residency, which continues to showcase his signature dark house sound among stunning visuals and costumed dancers — see it for yourself in “Dirty South at Marquee Las Vegas” on YouTube.

Dirty South is joined by Avicii, who has established himself as one of the leaders of electronic dance music, after having won the International Dance Music Award for Best Breakthrough Solo Artist and being named Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2010 by Tiësto. Avicii lives up to his hype, smashing remix after remix and establishing himself as a cornerstone of house music with his original sound, which can be previewed on his Soundcloud. “It’s just amazing to see how much EDM is growing in the States in general, especially in Vegas” he says of his frequent dates at Marquee. Watch the full interview “Avicii at Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas” on YouTube.

Saturday, July 2
ERICK MORILLO with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano @ Nightclub
A regular in the Top 5 on Beatport, Erick Morillo’s newly released single “Stronger” featuring Eddie Thoneick and Shawnee Taylor from his 2010 album, ‘Live Your Life,’ promises to soundtrack the summer. After launching his own label Subliminal in 1997, Morillo now has a regular Sessions Podcast, while continuing to fill dance floors worldwide. Known especially for his Subliminal Sessions residency in Ibiza every summer, Morillo faithfully returns to Vegas for Subliminal Sessions at Marquee — a futuristic affair featuring spectacular custom videos and glow-in-the-dark costumed dancers. (Take a peek with “Marquee Las Vegas: Erick Morillo” on YouTube.)

Opening the night are Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, an energetic Dutch duo who match soulful vocals with deep and funky house. When not performing all over the globe, they can be found in their Amsterdam studio coming up with one dancefloor destroyer after another. Their 2008 debut tracks include “Pina” and “Lift U Up feat. Reese & Chappell,” after which Steve Angello scooped up “Traffic” and “Snitch” for release on his Size Records label. The duo has also made several remixes for the likes of Sander Kleinenberg (“This Is Our Night”), Kaskade (“Dynasty”) and Diplo ft. Busta Rhymes (“C’mon”).

Sunday, July 3
FATBOY SLIM @ Dayclub

An electronic music pioneer since the ‘90s, Fatboy Slim has continually reinvented performances and recordings, playing as Beats International, Freak Power, and most recently as Brighton Port Authority, but now returns to his original stage name, headlining Detroit’s Movement Festival, playing a set at Glastonbury 2011, and returning for his 3-month residency Fatboy Slim Las Vegas Take Over at Marquee Dayclub. With his debut turning into a truly unique experience due to crazy weather (watch the event unfold in “Fatboy Slim at Marquee Las Vegas” on YouTube), the ever-intrepid Fatboy Slim is ready to bring the spirit of Brighton Beach back to the Strip again. With exclusive re-edits of his iconic tracks (think “The Rockafeller Skank” meets The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction”) and a no-holds-barred musical approach that takes in everything from Latin Samba to big-room house, Fatboy Slim’s July Take Over will be where the fireworks really are on Independence Day Weekend.

Sunday, July 3
EC TWINS + SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO @ Nightclub
After a rousing performance at Marquee Dayclub to set off the weekend, EC Twins return to complete the weekend at the Nightclub, electrifying the dancefloor with energetic performances of their European dance-influenced house music. Outside will be Dutch duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano bringing back their soulful vocals with deep and funky house for a second appearance.

Monday, July 4
ERIC D-LUX @ Nightclub

Straight from Los Angeles, Power 106 DJ Eric D-Lux first gained national recognition with his “Buko Breaks Vol 1-3” mixtape with Big Syphe. With his raw, up-beat, and straight-from-the-streets personality, Eric D-Lux continues to drop mixtapes (which have gained recognition from XXL Magazine and MTV), run the underground scene and bring dancefloor destroyers to Marquee Las Vegas every Monday. But don’t be fooled into thinking he’s a one-act show: “Personally,” he says, “I think I’m a better dancer than I am a DJ. I’ve been DJing 13 years; I’ve been dancing 14 years.” Watch his moves in “Eric D-Lux Marquee Monday: Watch Me Dance” on YouTube.

Friday, July 8
MITCH LJ @ Dayclub
New York City-based Mitch LJ hails from the south of France, where he learned jazz piano, saxophone, drums and percussion at a young age. His DJ career began in 2000 in St. Tropez’s most renown clubs, after which he quickly became a sought-after DJ by top venues throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America. Now signed to Camel Rider Music / Strictly Rhythm, Mitch is releasing original material and remixing some of the biggest artists in the world. His brand of sexy, uplifting house music is set to inspire poolside revelers at Marquee Dayclub this month.

Friday, July 8
EC TWINS @ Nightclub

After first finding success as the creators and promoters of Edinburgh House Music hot-spot Eye Candy, the EC Twins have carried over the same ambition into their new goal to popularize electronic music in America, as both producers and DJs themselves. Their newest release, “Say Yes” with Remy Le Duc, hit the Beatport Progressive House Charts’ Top 40, while their remix of “All Here Now” by David Garcia & High Spies featuring Sarah Tancer is climbing the Billboard Dance Charts top-most ranks. With numerous upcoming remixes on various labels in the works, including the highly anticipated re-work of Dirty Vegas’ “White Doves,” this British duo promises to keep exciting audiences at Marquee with old school soul and 80s electro. “It’s the best club, the best soundsystem, the best lineup of DJs, and we’re in that lineup of DJs, so we couldn’t be happier,” they say.

Saturday, July 9
EDX @ Dayclub
Productive and successful for more than a decade, Italian-native EDX first hit people’s radars in 1994 with various mix tapes that circulated around the globe. In 2010, EDX released hit after hit, continuously topping the Beatport charts. With a highly anticipated album on the horizon, as well as numerous remixes coming up, EDX is taking 2011 by storm with his productions, starting with his newly-launched No Xcuses radio show and appearance at Marquee Las Vegas. Juxtaposing memorable songwriting with sonic innovation and hand-designed technologies, BT crafts classically influenced, electronic overtures, which can be heard on his Sirius XM radio show ‘Laptop Symphony.’ Check out his interview “BT at Marquee Las Vegas” on YouTube. In his illustrious career, Andy has established a distinct, edgy and creative sound that is all his own. This sound, combined with his technical perfection, led him to be highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past 6 years. In 2009 he was nominated for the DJ Awards, in 2006 he won “Best Dance Record” at the International Dance Music Awards, and in 2004 he won both “Best Trance Producer” and “Best Trance Track.” Owner of the highly respected AVA Recordings record label, producer of the ‘Moor Music podcast’ and producer & remixer to the stars (including DJ Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold and more), Moor is working on his own artist album, but first he comes to Vegas to send soundwaves across the pool at Marquee Dayclub.

With his co-remix (with Gregori Klosman) of “Stronger” by fellow resident DJ Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick feat. Shawnee Taylor’s just released, Chuckie continues to reign over the decks at his monthly Dirty Dutch Red Light District residency. After recently celebrating his 30th birthday bash at Marquee, he returns again to bring Amsterdam’s daring, sophisticated and sexy style to Marquee’s dancefloor. Witness the Dirty Dutch phenomenon — famous for its addictive “house with an attitude influenced by hip-hop” sound and support from the likes of David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and Pete Tong — when it takes over the packed house at Marquee Nightclub.

Saturday, July 16
KLAAS @ Dayclub
In the last few years, Klaas has stamped his significant German electro house sound on remixes for artists such as Erick Morillo, Greg Cerrone, Eddie Thoneick and more. In 2006, Klaas cleared the way with his remix of Micha Moor’s “Space,” which turned into a worldwide success with support from Moby, Tiësto and David Guetta, and reached the number one on the Beatport chart. In 2008, Klaas’ remix of “Infinity” by Guru Josh also became an international sensation, earning him multiple gold and silver wards in Germany, the UK, Denmark and Norway, as well as a spot on the highly regarded DJ List Top 100.

Saturday, July 16
KASKADE @ Nightclub
Kaskade’s Marquee Las Vegas residency invites clubbers into a spectacular fantasy world, full of beautiful ballerina dancers and thrilling trance, house and pop music. “I like making the environment in the club more abstract, really listening to the music and feeling it and escaping. That’s been the theme: Let yourself go, come here, and enjoy.” he says. Towards that end, he has surprised the crowd with guests like vocalist Skylar Grey, and continues to build and refine his residency over time. (Check out the “Skylar Grey performs with Kaskade at Marquee Las Vegas” on YouTube). With a solid spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, Kaskade also has several number one iTunes singles and earned headline billing at major music festivals around the world. Last year he released his sixth artist album ‘Dynasty,’ which debuted at number 4 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Monday, July 18
VICE @ Nightclub
DJ Vice’s illustrious career started out at Los Angeles radio station Power 106, which gained him a fan in none other than legend Dr. Dre. Since then, he’s spun at the biggest parties worldwide, lent creative input to artists like Timbaland, Kanye and Pharrell, and opened two locations of his own sneaker store, CRSVR, one of which is located right inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas, alongside Marquee Nightclub itself. DJ Vice is known for crossing genres with ease: not just hip-hop, but house, dance and rock music, too. Now a Las Vegas nightlife fixture, he spins regularly to a packed house at Marquee. Preview his addictive sound with his recent remix of Enrique Iglesias’ “Dirty Dancer” on Soundcloud.

RANDY BOYER @ Dayclub
With an infectious energy behind the decks and a niche for producing some of the world’s most explosive progressive and electro-trance tunes, Randy Boyer is one of the most established and sought-after DJs and producers in the United States. Outfitted with his own production studio, Boyer has carved himself a permanent position in the electronic dance music scene with numerous chart topping singles for music moguls at Ultra, Armada Music, Flashover, Vandit, Coldharbour, A State of Trance, Def Jam, Arista and Warner Brothers. In addition to his impressive DJ career, Boyer also joined forces with the late Eric Tadla and created the legendary duo EnMass, whose ground breaking production, “CQ (Seek You)” was dubbed by Armin van Buuren himself as “one of his favorite trance classics ever made.” A true veteran of the game, Boyer is also the co-owner of EnMass Music, a brand new record label he launched with his good friend and industry partner, Darude.

SEBASTIAN INGROSSO + BT @ Nightclub
A member of the infamous Swedish House Mafia with Axwell and Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso is responsible (along with Dirty South and David Guetta) for “How Soon Is Now,” which has become a modern day vocal house classic. His additional hit tracks include “Leave The World Behind,” an amazing re-edit of “Swimming Places” from Julian Jabre on Defected, a searing remix of “Jack You” with Steve Angello for Diddy and Felix (which was approved by Sean Combs himself) and many more. Last year Ingrosso co-wrote and co-produced “Cupid Boy,” one of the key electronic anthems on Kylie Minogues’s new number 1 album, further establishing his position as one of the world’s biggest dance music masters. Just recently, Swedish House Mafia debuted their epic remix of Coldplays’ new single “Every Teardrop is Waterfull,” which became an instant mega hit. After the amazing achievements of the past few years, Ingrosso’s ambition and talent show no signs of abating. He is joined at Nightclub by BT.
