Animazing Gallery at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® and The Palazzo® Las Vegas
is proud to continue their collaboration with the Downtown Arts District by helping to support and bring awareness to the Las Vegas art community. The third in a quarterly series of events called Art Connect showcases one local downtown artist each quarter.
The much-anticipated event will feature artist Alex P. Huerta of Peacenart Studio. To commemorate the evening, Huerta will have exclusive artwork available at Animazing Gallery during the event.
WHO:
Alexander P. Huerta is passionate about art and artistic expression. He was an employee for Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino for 13 years. After experiencing the ups and downs of life and some difficulties with his health, he one day walked into a gallery and came face to face with one of Pablo Picasso’s paintings titled “Le Rêve.” Huerta often speaks of this moment as the “marker moment” of his life, the day “when God got his attention about Art.” With no formal art education or even the desire to be an artist, gazing at that vibrant color palette and that beautifully imperfect painting he realized that moment would forever change the course of his life, and so it did.
“I consider my art to be a glimpse of the world in which I live in or a question about the same,” said Huerta. “Because my view of the world and my many questions can be so diverse, you will find my art to be its parallel. I organize my questions and/or explorations by the collections I create and maintain.”
Huerta currently owns and runs his own studio and gallery located in The Arts District of Downtown Las Vegas.
