The Venetian Resort Unveils a New Luxurious Pool Scene

THE VENETIAN RESORT UNVEILS A NEW LUXURIOUS POOL SCENE

Inspired by the Italian Riviera, the newly redesigned pools and expansive cabanas
blend lush gardens and high design, creating a gorgeous new pool experience

The Venetian® Resort today announced a dramatic redesign of its pool deck, setting a new standard in luxury and extraordinary experiences in Las Vegas. Conveniently located within The Venetian hotel tower, the new pool deck takes design cues from the Italian Riviera, including sculptural art pieces and quaint gardens, to provide the worldly look and feel of a European escape. The addition of 10 well-appointed premium poolside cabanas provide over-the-top amenities, some of which feature private plunge pools, reflecting the needs of the resort’s most discerning guests.

“Through this reimagining of our pool experience, we are providing yet another reason for our guests to choose The Venetian Resort,” said Marcy Miles, chief marketing officer at The Venetian Resort. “The new pools and cabanas further our distinction as the ultimate Las Vegas destination and the perfect place to celebrate in the sun.”

The pristine waters of The Venetian pools evoke the charm and irresistible allure of their seaside Italian influences. Each pool and its surrounding gardens cultivates a distinct experience of exploration and discovery. Hidden gems reminiscent of Italian art and architecture provide a new sense of place for the pool, with several new photo moments cleverly integrated into the design. The addition of daybeds and chaise lounges within the pools put guests even closer to the refreshing water.

Building on The Venetian’s award-winning cocktail program led by the recent openings of The Dorsey, Rosina and Electra Cocktail Club, the poolside cocktail menu has also been revamped, featuring drinks developed by world-renowned barman Sam Ross. Using seasonal fruit and freshly squeezed juices to enhance the selections, the menu features shaken classics, slushies, and a variety of non-alcoholic palate-pleasing options.

For guests seeking to indulge in the ultimate poolside experience, the new cabanas are an inviting retreat for the playful sun dweller seeking a curated pool day, where a personal cabana host provides ongoing service throughout the afternoon.

The Venetian Courtyard Cabana comes with additional complimentary amenities, including a fully stocked refrigerator of assorted beverages, refreshing carafes of fruit-infused water, an assorted fruit plate and decadent nut and chocolate mixes. Guests interested in more intimate opulence can upgrade to The Venetian Plunge Cabanas. Here, guests will delight in their own personal plunge pool, each with its own TV screen. Plunge Cabanas are fully stocked with chilled peppermint face towels, an array of vintage games, a sun care bar, sunglass cleaning wipes, magazine collections, plush robes, and a Polaroid camera to capture the fun.

In addition to the high-end offerings featured in the cabanas, a handful of celebration packages are available for purchase to truly enhance and customize any occasion. Guests can cherish each milestone moment with packages ranging in themes from birthday to bachelorette. For group celebrations, the Venetian Plunge Pool Cabanas, can comfortably accommodate up to 15 to 20 guests and packages start at $350 (these must be booked at least 10 days in advance).

Guests who would like to stock their cabana with their favorite spirit and cocktail libations can add personalized cart experiences such as the bloody Mary, Italian cocktails, margarita and tableside guacamole carts. Poolside cart services start at $100.

Each of the new cabanas are air conditioned and equipped with such amenities as 75-foot television screens, private restrooms, charging stations, private safes, sun umbrellas, and personal bar and towel service. The 10 new cabanas are part of a total collection of nearly 60 offered throughout the resort.

More information on cabanas, amenities, packages and add-ons can be found at venetian.com. Cabanas can be booked by calling Concierge at 866.834.2319 and same-day cabana reservations can be made directly at the pool deck. Reservations in advance are strongly recommended.

Cut By Wolfgang Puck Unveils New Look And Menu

CUT BY WOLFGANG PUCK UNVEILS NEW LOOK AND MENU

Celebrating 10 years, the iconic restaurant continues to elevate Las Vegas’ fine dining scene

The iconic, award-winning restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck presents a new look at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort with an expanded bar and lounge and enhanced food and beverage offerings. The update is part of Puck’s creative vision to continually evolve and offer an authentic identity at each of his critically acclaimed CUT restaurants around the globe.

The redesign was spearheaded by CUT’s original designer Todd-Avery Lenahan, founder of local design firm TAL Studio, with a mission to maintain the restaurant’s admired style but elevate it to showcase a matured setting that today’s culture savvy clientele will embrace.

“As the culinary landscape of Las Vegas evolves, it’s important for us to continually look at ways to set the standard for an unrivaled dining experience,” said Wolfgang Puck. “We recently re-imagined Spago, and it was time for us to do the same at CUT.”

At the forefront is the expansion of the bar and lounge, which doubled in size. The lounge now seats 90, while an extended bar seats 20. A newly added shellfish and crudo bar on ice offers a striking presentation at one end of the bar.

Several new design elements refine and polish the setting including a rich and leathered stone bar, new custom plush seating paired with sophisticated acrylic top tables, textured walls and ceilings, wood flooring and a redesigned banquet room.

“For the past 10 years, we have delivered an extraordinary dining experience to our guests, and we look forward to enriching the restaurant’s character and sharpening its unparalleled quality with our new aesthetic and menu,” said Tom Kaplan, senior managing partner of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.

Executive Chef Matthew Hurley complements the design with new menu creations including dishes from the shellfish and crudo bar such as Maine Diver Scallops Crudo with Apple and White Alba Truffles; Chilled Red King Crab with Thai Red Curry Vinaigrette; Shellfish Plateaus; and Keluga Queen and Golden Oscetra Caviar service.

Hurley also updated several of CUT’s classic dishes such as Steak Tartare; Duo of Pork; and the famed Tuna Cones. Additionally, the restaurant now features an increased selection of true Japanese Wagyu from varying prefectures.

The bar boasts an expanded whiskey and brandy selection, showcasing a dramatic whiskey display behind the bar. Further bar highlights include new barrel-aged cocktails, a roving cocktail cart with bottle service and a more extensive wine list with 1,400 selections.

The bar and lounge are open nightly at 3 p.m. and the dining room is open from 5:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. For more information, please visit: http://wolfgangpuck.com/dining/cut-las-vegas/.

THE PALAZZO AT THE VENETIAN RESORT PRESENTS
AN ENLIGHTENED GUEST EXPERIENCE

The Strip’s Most Iconic Resort Debuts Reimagined Suites,
Casino Floor and Trend-Defining Nightlife Concepts

The Palazzo, the refined luxury hotel that is part of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, has unveiled the dramatic results of a design evolution, a renaissance sparked by its remodeled casino floor and renovations to all suites. Inventive guest touchpoints span a refined new collective of intimate cocktail havens, unexpected digital art installations within the transformed casino floor, world-class dining concepts, unique incorporation of earth-friendly touches, and unprecedented levels of access and personalized service through Prestige at The Palazzo, the hotel’s elevated luxury experience.

“Visitors returning to The Palazzo will find a noticeable difference in the energy level of the resort,” said George Markantonis, president and COO of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo. “A culmination of nearly two years of work, we have touched nearly every aspect of the guest experience at The Palazzo. Beginning with the casino, which has been reimagined from floor to ceiling, and continuing to the resort’s refreshed suites, The Palazzo provides a fresh approach to Las Vegas luxury.”

Enlightened elements at The Palazzo include:

The Cocktail Collective – Meet Electra: The future of nightlife is now at Electra Cocktail Club, the new imaginative cocktail experience located in the epicenter of the casino floor. An inventive collision of energy and style, Electra completes the trinity that is The Venetian Cocktail Collective, comprised of the sophisticated Dorsey, the romantic Rosina and now, the kinetic Electra. The Collective is redefining cocktail culture on the Las Vegas Strip, combining unparalleled cocktails, refined settings, and unique music identities.

A dynamic scene that exudes an escapist vibe, Electra is a feast for the eyes. A digital display spanning 40 feet serves as a focal point, featuring original art in a mind-blowing 70 million pixels and more than one billion colors. This visual canvas, the highest resolution video display in Las Vegas, features a curated selection of art providing storylines that unfold throughout the evening. The 127-seat bar has a color palate of black and white with deep teal accents throughout the space. Large tufted sofas provide seating in the center of the bar while custom lounge chairs with contrasting leathers and metallic trim line the perimeter.

Casino Floor: The Palazzo casino floor, the central heartbeat of The Palazzo, is introducing new elements that go beyond the thrill of gaming — from an overhead electric ribbon of color that creates waves of light as it ripples hue-to-hue, to new marble pathways with patterns and medallions drawn from rich Italian history. Three new bar concepts – anchored by energetic and glamourous Electra Cocktail Club – enliven the casino and engage guests with sultry design. The renovation delivers a visually engaging atmosphere that conveys a sense of prominence and sophistication.

New Dining Concepts: The Palazzo’s newest culinary offering, Mott 32, is set to debut in December 2018, with an immersive dining experience that will highlight the indulgent beauty of unlikely pairings. Renown for combining traditional Chinese culture and preparations with modern philosophies, Mott 32 is a celebration of Hong Kong culture and culinary tradition, and represents the modern Chinese city. Mott 32, with its fresh daily dim sum, will feature Cantonese and Szechuan fine dining practices. Named after Manhattan’s 32 Mott Street, where New York’s first Chinese convenience store opened in 1891, considered the nucleus for what is now a vibrant Chinatown in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Designed by Hong Kong-based Joyce Wang Studio, this is the third Mott 32 restaurant by global brand Maximal Concepts (and the first in the United States), bringing one of Hong Kong’s finest modern dining experiences to Las Vegas.

New Suites: In keeping with their philosophy of creating an electrifying-yet-intimate Las Vegas getaway, the refreshed Palazzo guest suites seamlessly blend opulence with earth-friendly nods to usher in a new standard for luxury in Las Vegas. Each of The Palazzo’s 2,872 lighter and brighter suites have been redesigned to feature enhanced esthetics that range from LEED-standard wall coverings, flooring, lighting and finishes. Mother Nature mindfulness extends to the corridors and elevator lobbies with illumination that is both brighter and more energy efficient.

ANIMAZING GALLERY AT GRAND CANAL SHOPPES AT THE VENETIAN AND THE PALAZZO LAS VEGAS CONTINUES TO CONNECT THE LAS VEGAS DOWNTOWN ARTS DISTRICT TO THE STRIP

WHAT:
Animazing Gallery at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® and The Palazzo® Las Vegas
is proud to continue their collaboration with the Downtown Arts District by helping to support and bring awareness to the Las Vegas art community. The third in a quarterly series of events called Art Connect showcases one local downtown artist each quarter.

The much-anticipated event will feature artist Alex P. Huerta of Peacenart Studio. To commemorate the evening, Huerta will have exclusive artwork available at Animazing Gallery during the event.

WHO:
Alexander P. Huerta is passionate about art and artistic expression. He was an employee for Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino for 13 years. After experiencing the ups and downs of life and some difficulties with his health, he one day walked into a gallery and came face to face with one of Pablo Picasso’s paintings titled “Le Rêve.” Huerta often speaks of this moment as the “marker moment” of his life, the day “when God got his attention about Art.” With no formal art education or even the desire to be an artist, gazing at that vibrant color palette and that beautifully imperfect painting he realized that moment would forever change the course of his life, and so it did.

“I consider my art to be a glimpse of the world in which I live in or a question about the same,” said Huerta. “Because my view of the world and my many questions can be so diverse, you will find my art to be its parallel. I organize my questions and/or explorations by the collections I create and maintain.”

Huerta currently owns and runs his own studio and gallery located in The Arts District of Downtown Las Vegas.

I am excited and thankful to Las Vegas Sands Corp., who trusted our vision and, in a short period of time, gave us the opportunity to have two restaurants within their resort,” says Matteo Ferdinandi, CEO of FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup.

In June, the hospitality group announced plans to open The Factory Kitchen Las Vegas December 2018, also at The Venetian. sixth+mill is a more casual-dining concept from FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup and will open first in Downtown Los Angeles.

“We are thrilled to continue serving our beloved Downtown Los Angeles community that has supported us since day one,” says Ferdinandi.

sixth+mill is led by Mr. Ferdinandi and FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup Culinary Director Angelo Auriana. The restaurant reflects Chef Angelo’s Southern Italian heritage. The focus of the restaurant is intended to elicit the taste and emotion of his childhood memories and offer guests a taste of Southern Italy. Besides the pizza, sixth+mill will also feature small plates, fritters, salads and durum wheat pastas.

Chef Angelo also draws upon a few recipes from his father’s home cooking, such as the Pizza alla Montanara, a fried dough topped with a rich tomato sauce and Scamorza, traditionally served during special family gatherings. The Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, a hearty dish from Campania, is a deep simmering dish of garlic-infused potato gnocchi with a bright tomato sauce, topped with bubbling mozzarella and fresh basil.

Chef Angelo has imported a Mario Acunto’s Neapolitan-style wood-fired oven encased with refractory bricks, allowing a thermal source of heat to provide consistency throughout the baking process. A traditional Italian spiral mixer slow mixes the dough allowing for a better fermentation process that develops a lighter dough and signature flavor.

Those elements paired with Chef Angelo’s own natural yeast and a mix of flours creates pizza that is slightly crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside, light and highly digestible. Imported ingredients including cheeses, cured meats, and olive oil from the mountainous terrain of Molise, coupled with local produce, enhance the authenticity and freshness of each dish.

An affordable wine list, designed by FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup Beverage Director, Sommelier and Partner Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi, features selections that correspond to the menu and focus on Italian Southern Regions. The Spirits complement sixth+mill pizzeria and bar’s thoughtful combination of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Draft beers offer crisp and refreshing selections from local breweries and beyond, while the cocktail list includes the San Gennaro: Bols Genever, Carpano and a splash of soda and a vibrant red Malafemmena or “bad woman” cocktail, named after the famous Italian song, made with tomato juice, spices and vodka.

Ferdinandi and Auriana share the vision of imparting their Italian roots and memories through food and welcoming hospitality. sixth+mill pizzeria and bar is the second Las Vegas-based restaurant for FactoryPlaceHospitalityGroup. It will join its sister restaurant The Factory Kitchen Las Vegas—scheduled to open December 2018—at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian in St. Mark’s Square in April 2019.

The Downtown Los Angeles Arts District location will open August 18, 2018 at 1335 East 6th Street. sixth+mill pizzeria and bar will serve an all-day menu, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 11 a.m. – midnight Friday and Saturday at both locations.
