AREA15 MARKS FIVE-YEAR “AREA-VERSARY” WITH RECORD GROWTH, CELEBRATIONS IN SEPTEMBER

With 15 Million Guests, Las Vegas’ Experiential Entertainment District Marks Half a Decade with Bold New Attractions, Vision for the Future

AREA15, the first-ever, purpose-built destination for experiential attractions, art and entertainment situated parallel to the Las Vegas Strip, commemorates its five-year “AREA-versary” with the debut of its most ambitious expansion yet and more than 15 million visitors welcomed since opening its doors in 2020.

From its origins as a single 200,000-square-foot venue to its evolution into a 40-acre, next-generation “retailtainment” district, AREA15 has redefined entertainment in Las Vegas and established a new model for experience-based tourism. In recognition of this milestone, AREA15 invites the public to a series of celebratory programs in September.

With its public opening date of Sept. 17, 2020, AREA15 launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the global shutdown and limited occupancy maximums for businesses, AREA15’s creators remained determined to deliver something unprecedented. In 2022 and 2023, AREA15 was also named the most visited attraction in the United States, according to location analytics firm Placer.ai.

“AREA15 was always meant to be disruptive,” said Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, AREA15. “Opening in the middle of a global shutdown only strengthened our resolve to deliver something the world hadn’t seen before. Five years later, we’ve surpassed 15 million visitors, welcomed some of the biggest brands in entertainment and set the stage for a future filled with even more boundary-breaking experiences.”

Today, the campus averages more than 500 ticketed events annually and 500 private bookings each year across seven customizable event venues. Over its five-year history, AREA15 has created more than 1,500 jobs. It has welcomed a wide range of notable visitors, including Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Peter Weber from “The Bachelor,” and emerged as a cultural hub for locals and travelers alike.

This August, AREA15 launched its monumental expansion, dubbed Zone 2: The Terminals, with the unveiling of Universal Horror Unleashed and a number of new experiences. Today, visitors can explore 23 immersive attractions and 11 eateries and bars. As part of its evolution, the AREA15 District also features more than 60 sculptures and 30 murals, making it the largest permanent installation of monumental festival art in the world.

Through the end of 2025 and into 2026, AREA15 will continue unveiling new experiences in Zone 2, including Felix & Paul Studios’ Interstellar Arc, a fully reimagined Boeing 747 multi-use event venue, Dolls Kill‘s flagship store, The Escape Game, iFLY Indoor Skydiving and the largest-ever Museum of Ice Cream. The expanded district’s food and beverage lineup will also feature Chilango’s Tacos, Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets, Nacho Daddy and more—further enhancing AREA15’s growing culinary landscape.
