Cabo Wabo Cantina Will Serve Up Tropical
Strip-Side Sips for National Rum Day
Cabo Wabo Cantina, Sammy Hagar’s rockin’ Strip-side restaurant located at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, will celebrate National Rum Day with the CW Rum Runner, a bold, tropical cocktail crafted just for the occasion.

Served in a 26-ounce souvenir glass and priced at $26, the CW Rum Runner will be available all weekend long, from Friday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 17. Inspired by the classic that originated in the Florida Keys in the 1970s, Cabo Wabo’s version packs a bold, beachy punch with Bacardi light rum, Sailor Jerry spiced rum, banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, orange juice, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine.
Cabo Wabo will also offer its signature rum cocktails, made with Sammy’s own Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum. Favorites include the CW Mai Tai, made with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, Sailor Jerry rum, orgeat, tropical juices and grenadine and served with a float of Myer’s rum; Sammy’s Toasted Colada made with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, Coco Lopez and pineapple juice, served on the rocks and garnished with freshly toasted coconut; and the Maui Rocker, made with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, orange juice, orange curacao, pineapple juice, grenadine and sweet and sour, priced at $16.45 each.
Cabo Wabo Cantina combines the relaxed, beach town vibe of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with the thrill of the Las Vegas Strip. Crafted by Executive Chef Tacho Kneeland, the menu features coastal Mexican cuisine with a mouthwatering mix of fresh flavors including Sammy’s Tequila Shrimp, made with Baja shrimp and a housemade tequila-lime sauce; and fiesta-worthy shareables like fundido de queso con chorizo, made with a blend of Oaxaca, Asiago, Cotija and provolone cheeses; among other crowd favorites.
