ELVIS RETURNS TO WESTGATE LAS VEGAS RESORT & CASINO: FIRST LOOK AT “1969 LIVE!” CONCERT PREVIEW AND NEW IMPERIAL SKY VILLA
Travis Powell introduced as “Elvis,” exclusive suite tour, and a full slate of Elvis-themed activations announced ahead of the July 31 concert event

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino welcomed guests for an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview of its upcoming “1969 Live Concert: The King Returns,” a one-night-only tribute performance taking place on July 31, 2025, inside the legendary International Theater — the very stage where Elvis Presley made history.

Held inside the newly reimagined Imperial Sky Villa, located on the exact footprint of the suite once occupied by Elvis during his iconic Las Vegas residency, the event offered the first-ever public tour of the space. Surrounded by mid-century-inspired design and iconic Elvis photography, attendees were treated to the dramatic introduction of Travis Powell, who will star as Elvis in the July 31 performances.

Powell made a grand entrance flanked by classic Vegas showgirls, sharing heartfelt stories of his lifelong admiration for Elvis — a passion ignited at the age of four when his grandparents gifted him his first Elvis jumpsuit.

“It’s truly an honor to step into the King’s shoes — especially on the very stage where Elvis made history,” said Powell. “This isn’t just a concert to me. It’s a chance to relive one of the most important nights in music history and to celebrate the energy, soul, and magic that Elvis brought to Las Vegas.”
The program also included a live model activation, showcasing vintage fashion inspired by the 1969 concert era, accompanied by styling commentary from Las Vegas-based fashion experts Christie Moeller and Tiffany Weekes.

Cami Christensen, General Manager of Westgate Las Vegas, welcomed attendees with remarks about the history and transformation of the villa: “This suite is more than just a place to stay — it’s a love letter to a legacy. It sits on the very footprint where Elvis lived during his legendary run here, and we’ve reimagined it as both a tribute and a modern escape. You can feel the history in these walls — and yes, the spot I’m standing on right now is exactly where he slept.”

Following Powell’s remarks, Dawn Rawle, SVP of Marketing & Entertainment, unveiled a preview of property-wide activations planned for July 31 in celebration of the show.
