Opportunity Village Unveils Medals for the 2023
Las Vegas Great Santa Run
All funds raised go to support adults with disabilities in the Las Vegas area
Runners and walkers throughout Las Vegas are gearing up for the 19th Annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run, hosted by Opportunity Village. The iconic 5k run and 1-mile walk features a downtown Las Vegas course packed with all the entertainment and style that Las Vegas is known for, while raising money to help adults with disabilities in our community.
Today, Opportunity Village has revealed what will be awaiting runners at the finish line: a proper Vegas-themed finisher’s medal, featuring a keepsake Santa pin that participants are able to wear all season long to celebrate the holidays. The pin features a reclining Santa resting on top of the medal, which is shaped like a playing card and features iconic Las Vegas landmarks. Santa’s hat features the Las Vegas Great Santa Run logo, so participants can represent their achievement all season long.
The Las Vegas Great Santa Run, presented by Circle K, is scheduled for Dec. 2 in Downtown Las Vegas. Registration is $35 per participant through Sept. 30. Afterward, the registration fee goes up to $45. The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is an all-ages event, and children under 3 are free. Pets are also welcome to attend with a $10 pet registration that includes a pet swag bag.
For those wanting to add a little holiday joy to their at-home miles, runners are invited to join Opportunity Village virtually and run on a course of their choosing. Whether you take to your favorite local trail, jog around your neighborhood or even run during an upcoming vacation, you’ll still be helping to support Opportunity Village’s mission of serving adults with disabilities.
Las Vegas Great Santa Run participants can earn a prize for fundraising, beginning with a $5 donation. Prizes range from free hot chocolate at The Magical Forest to a three-day cruise in Baja, Mexico. In addition, teams of 20 or more people also receive special discount registration pricing when registering together: $25 per person until Sept. 30, and $35 per person until Nov. 19 when team registration closes.
