Sandbox VR Announces First Las Vegas Location, Coming to Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas
Sandbox VR eyes new growth in markets formerly dominated by competitors
Sandbox VR is announcing today that they have signed a contract to open the latest Sandbox VR location in Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. The company anticipates opening the new site in the early summer of 2021.
Sandbox VR is a socially immersive experience that provides players a unique combination of full body motion capture and VR technologies that enable them to become anyone and go anywhere, together with their friends. Sandbox VR is an experience much like going with friends to a movie or an escape room; however, with VR technology from the future, the Sandbox experience allows guests to truly step into another world. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of experiences including exploring a colorful and haunted pirate ship, hopping onto a space elevator, ascend past Earth’s atmosphere to fight aliens or play an e-sport experience.
Sandbox VR is incredibly optimistic for the future. The company has seen increased demand of 30% from before the pandemic at their current locations outside of Chicago and in Austin since they were able to open again with Government mandated restrictions. Sandbox VR has historically been able to drive foot traffic to its locations, and it’s no different during the pandemic, where over 90% of customers book ahead online. With the vaccine roll out accelerating and COVID-19 cases rapidly decelerating across the country, Sandbox VR has once again been ramping production back up in anticipation of the influx of interest at the end of the pandemic.

It has also implemented strict Covid-19 safety protocols by limiting bookings to reduce contact between groups, mask-wearing at all times, and contactless setup to ensure social distancing.
