SONIC RODEO AIMS TO DISRUPT THE MUSIC SCENE
AS A MECCA FOR MUSICIANS NEAR AND FAR

Now open with rehearsal spaces, live stream options, onsite luthier and more, Sonic Rodeo is a one-stop-shop for musicians of all calibers

If a one-man-band was transformed into a sanctuary for musicians, you would have Downtown Las Vegas’ newest addition – Sonic Rodeo. Created by two musicians and one passionate music lover, Sonic Rodeo is a multi-platform space for both amateur musicians and bands, as well as professional artists, that rethinks how musicians develop and perfect their sound. The 4,000-square-foot facility boasts four rehearsal spaces, each themed after a music city; a guitar shop with an onsite luthier run by Davis, well-known in Vegas and beyond for his craftsmanship; and a retail area with guitars, pedals, amps, and more, as well as new and used instruments for sale.

“We created Sonic Rodeo because, as musicians, we were having some pretty subpar experiences with what we had access to for rehearsals before our gigs. Sometimes you want to rehearse, other times you are writing songs and collaborating, and we couldn’t find a space that felt inspiring, not to mention clean and with everything in working order,” said Sonic Rodeo Partner Larry Reha, who is also the guitarist and vocalist of honky tonk band The Rhyolite Sound.

To make Sonic Rodeo a reality for the industry, Reha partnered with A.J. Palluck, session drummer/producer and member of The Rhyolite Sound, as well as music enthusiast James Swanson, owner of Screaming Images. As a large-format printing company, Screaming Images decked the spaces out with custom graphics and signage, and will use Sonic Rodeo as an activation space for the company’s newly launched event division SI Live.

Rounding out its full-circle offerings, Sonic Rodeo provides gear rental, backline set up, live streaming with its in-house A/V team Webb Production, and can assist setting up photo and video shoots. For businesses looking to add live entertainment to their events, Sonic Rodeo can handle everything from booking the bands to setting the stage and sound.

“We’re preparing for things to come,” said Reha. “The music scene in Vegas is going to come back stronger than ever and we want to be at the forefront of making that a reality.”

Sonic Rodeo is now booking, offering one –time rental options, as well as memberships. The space is located at 32 W. Imperial Ave. just west of Main Street in Downtown Las Vegas. For more information, call 702-665-4838 or email [email protected].
