South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa Rings in 2015 With Specialty Menus for Diners

South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa will welcome 2015 with specialty menus offered at the property’s most beloved restaurants including Baja Miguel’s, Coronado Café, Don Vito’s, Garden Buffet, Primarily Prime Rib and Silverado Steakhouse.

 

Baja Miguel’s will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary house margarita for $26 per person from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Tostada Veracruz with roasted talapeño crema; Empanadas Oaxaca, deep fried with beef, green olives and Oaxaca cheese; Baja’s Tomato Salad with red and yellow peppers, panela cheese with Yucatan dressing.
  • Second Course: Baja Miguel’s Surf and Turf Fajitas with medallions of beef filet and shrimp scampi served with grilled peppers, onions, beans and cilantro rice; or Tequila Salmon served over a crab cake with chipotle lime cream.
  • Third course: Champagne Sorbet served in a cookie cup with seasonal berries; or Caramel Flan with strawberries and Kahlua cream.

 

Coronado Café will serve a two-course menu and a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $15.95 per person from 2 to 9 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Lobster Bisque; or Mixed Winter Green Salad.
  • Second Course: Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Salmon Filet with Creole sauce, rice pilaf and asparagus tips; or Seared Flat Iron Steak with Chasseur Sauce served with chateau potatoes, asparagus tips and onion strings.

 

Don Vito’s will serve a four-course menu and the choice of a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $56 per person from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Charred Calamari with roasted garlic sauce; Fried Risotto Balls stuffed with imported provolone cheese on creamed marinara sauce; or Shrimp Cocktail with Marie Rose sauce.
  • Second Course: Artichoke Soup garnished with crème fraiche; or Classic Caesar Salad
  • Third Course: Chicken Sorrentino sautéed with mushrooms, onion in a red wine marinara with eggplant crouton; Shrimp and Feta Linguine in an oven roasted tomato sauce; Osso Bucco, braised veal shank served with vegetable sauce and risotto; Grilled Branzino with basil, cilantro and tomato relish; Veal Tenderloin Marsala sautéed with mushroom in Marsala sauce; or Filet Mignon served with Madeira mushroom sauce. All entrées include a side of pasta and seasonal vegetables. Guests may have the choice to add a Lobster Tail to any dish for $30.
  • Fourth Course: Classic Tiramisu; Banana Foster Profiteroles with cinnamon ice cream; or Champagne Zabaglione with seasonal berries.

 

Primarily Prime Rib will serve a four-course menu with the choice of a complimentary glass of wine or cocktail for $46 from 4 to 10 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Shrimp Cocktail; Smoked Duck Quesadilla with sour cream; or Lobster and Shitaki Phyllo Turnovers with Parmesan cream.
  • Second Course: Lobster Bisque; or Prime Salad tossed tableside with choice of dressing.
  • Third Course: Chicken Grand Duke sautéed with button mushrooms, pearl onions and fava beans in a Burgundy sauce; “South Point Cut” Prime Rib; New York Strip broiled with mushrooms and herb butter; Tilapia Napoli grilled and served on orzo with Mediterranean seafood bisque; or Surf and Turf medallion of beef with merlot reduction and sautéed shrimp with garlic butter. All entrees are served with asparagus and choice of baked, roasted chateau or Yukon gold mashed potatoes. Guests have the choice to add a Lobster Tail to any dish for an additional $30.

Fourth Course: Trio of Mousse with fresh raspberries; Mini Walnut Carrot Bundt Cake with strawberries and cinnamon cream; or White Chocolate Tartufo.

 

Silverado Steak House will serve a four-course menu for $69 with a bottle of specially selected wine for each party of two from 5 to 11 p.m., including:

  • First Course: Chilled Shrimp Cocktail with Marie Rose sauce; Warm Oven-Baked Figs wrapped in apple smoked bacon and filled with a goat cheese balsamic glaze; or King Crab Cake and Corn Cake Tower with sweet red pepper sauce.
  • Second Course: Lobster Bisque; Roasted Beet Salad with red and golden beets, micro greens and goat cheese crostini with mustard vinaigrette; or Garden Fresh Salad with champagne vinaigrette.
  • Third Course: Long Island Duck Breast Chambord; Grilled Salmon Kathleen seared over watercress cream with asparagus and teardrop tomatoes; Filet Mignon with béarnaise sauce; Chicken Chasseur sautéed with red wine, shallots, mushrooms and tomatoes; Shrimp Scampi; Noisettes of Lamb seared with artichoke crowns and wild mushrooms in pinot noir and tarragon reduction; or Filet of Beef Mardi Gras topped with lump crab meat, cream sauce and Louisiana Gold. All entrees served with rice pilaf, roast chateau or Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Guests may add a Lobster Tail to any dish for an additional $30.
  • Fourth Course: White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle; Peach Melba; or Caramel Apple Napoleon.

 

The Garden Buffet will feature a special New Year’s Eve champagne dinner buffet for $17.95 with a Club Card or $20.95 without a Club Card from 4 to 10 p.m. The holiday buffet offers an assortment of a la carte options including Broiled New York Steak with baked potatoes, Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Chinese stir fried vegetables, Pork Cutlets with sun-dried tomato cream, Louisiana Jambalaya and more. Adding to the experience, the buffet will feature prime rib and roast apricot stuffed pork loin at the carving station. Guests can satisfy that sweet tooth while enjoying desserts such as the new Gelato Bar, Hot Cherry Crepes and more.

Additionally, the Garden Buffet will serve a New Year’s Day champagne brunch for $15.95 with a Club Card or $19.95 without from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The specialty buffet will include unlimited Bloody Mary and mimosa cocktails. The buffet will offer brunch favorites such as Made-to-Order Omelets, Blintzes, French Toast, Waffles and Pancakes with fruit toppings, Grilled Salmon with béarnaise, Adobe Rubbed Chicken with corn pico de gallo, Chinese Pepper Steak and more.

 

Regular menus will be available at Baja Miguel’s and Coronado Café. The Coronado Café will also offer its daily Chinese menu.
