Downtown Las Vegas Events Center to Host Vegas Golden Knights Watch Party, February 28

Downtown Las Vegas venue to transform into massive tailgate celebration as part of city’s Ultimate Vegas Sports Weekend celebrations

After nearly 7,000 excited fans attended its Big Game Bash on February 3, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will once again transform into a sports-lover’s paradise for a Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) watch party at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 28.

Hockey fans can catch every moment of gameplay on the venue’s 72 feet of HD LED screen and booming stadium sound system as Las Vegas faces off against the Florida Panthers. The celebratory watch party will be loaded with delicious food and fun activations at every turn, including:

  • On-site culinary stations offering bites such as the world-famous Coney Dog from American Coney Island, smoked brisket sandwiches at Project BBQ and more.
  • A shooting cage where participants can attempt to deliver a pro-level slapshot
  • Free outdoor games, including corn hole stations and beer pong
  • A variety of game-day beverage selections
  • Locations to purchase Vegas Golden Knights merchandise

The viewing party will take place immediately after the highly anticipated Ultimate Vegas Sports Weekend (UVSW) Fan Fest event at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Running from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., the Fan Fest will serve as the official tailgate kickoff for the city-wide sports extravaganza. The pregame bash will feature notable names in the world of NASCAR, USA Sevens Rugby, UFC, Vegas Golden Knights and the Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding Tour. With up-close athlete appearances, a multitude of interactive experiences, exclusive merchandise and more, the weekend is set to unite fans of all kinds in Downtown Las Vegas.

Both events are free and open to fans of all ages. The Vegas Golden Knights watch party is set to begin with the puck drop at 7 p.m. and will continue until the end of the game. All seating for the event will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
