TAO GROUP LENDS A HAND FOR HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF
New York City and Las Vegas Restaurants & Nightclubs
Join Together to Raise Money to Help Those Affected by East Coast Hurricane
In an effort to help those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast, TAO CARES, the charitable arm of TAO Group, will hold joint fundraising initiatives in its New York City and Las Vegas venues beginning Friday, November 2 through Monday, November 5. Proceeds raised throughout the weekend will be donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief. TAO Asian Bistro in New York City, TAO Asian Bistro & Nightclub at the Venetian in Las Vegas, LAVO Italian Restaurant & Nightclub in New York City and at the Palazzo in Las Vegas, and Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will join together to donate a portion of restaurant and nightclub sales to the American Red Cross .
Both TAO Asian Bistro and LAVO Italian Restaurant in New York City will donate a percentage of food and beverage sales from the weekend while TAO Asian Bistro and LAVO Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas will offer a special menu to contribute to recovery and relief efforts. Special menu items at TAO in Las Vegas include Red Curry Chicken ($30) with snow peas, eggplant and jasmine rice and the Kobe Beef Spring Roll ($15) with spicy peanut chili sauce. LAVO Vegas’ menu features Porcini Mushroom Risotto with Parmesan Frico ($28) and Fresh Burrata over an Arugula Salad ($18) with a lemon vinaigrette and pancetta crisp.
Club-goers will also have the opportunity to help raise funds as LAVO Nightclub in New York City and TAO, LAVO and Marquee Nightclubs in Las Vegas will donate a portion of the cover charge for every paid guest that walks through the door. LAVO New York delivered food to 300 people at the West 59th Street Food Shelter on Thursday. TAO Group will also team up with the NYC Hospitality Alliance in an effort to reach out to small restaurants, bars and clubs that have been affected by the hurricane disaster.
