After-School All-Stars to Host 3rd Annual Lip Sync Showdown Presented by playSTUDIOS and Wynn Resorts at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas

Get ready to lip sync for a cause. After-School All-Stars (ASAS) Las Vegas, a nonprofit that provides free, high-quality after-school programs to underserved youth, will host its third annual Lip Sync Showdown at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas.

In partnership with Wynn Resorts and mobile game developer playSTUDIOS, this high-energy event features 12 teams from across the Las Vegas community battling it out on stage for the coveted title of “Las Vegas All-Star.” Attendees can expect over-the-top costumes, unforgettable performances and a night of music and fun—all to support the mission of After-School All-Stars Las Vegas.

“This is one of the most entertaining nights of the year, and it’s all to support the mission of ASAS,” said Jodi Manzella, executive director of After-School All-Stars Las Vegas. “The Lip Sync Showdown allows the community to come together in support of our mission: to provide free, comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them achieve in school and in life. We accomplish this by providing at-risk youth the opportunity to participate in programs that include sports, educational, cultural and community enrichment components. Every dollar raised goes toward supporting the ASAS mission; making a difference where it matters most.”

ASAS Las Vegas, established in 1995, is celebrating a tremendous milestone with its 30-year anniversary. Since its creation, ASAS Las Vegas has empowered students through comprehensive, teacher-led programming that includes academic support, STEM education, sports, arts, leadership development, and career exploration. The organization currently serves more than 4,000 students across 21 Title I schools in the Las Vegas Valley.
