THE PUNK ROCK MUSEUM ANNOUNCES SPECIAL GUIDED TOURS,
PROGRAMMING WITH FRED ARMISEN, DAMIAN ABRAHAM,

JULY 23 THROUGH JULY 25

 

The Punk Rock Museum announces it will host special guided tours and programming with musician and comedian Fred Armisen and singer and TV show host Damian Abraham in July.

On Sunday, July 23 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., Armisen will lead two exclusive guided tours followed by a livestream event on “Turned Out A Punk,” the punk podcast featuring an array of special guests hosted by Abraham. More surprises are also in store for guests.

Abraham will also host guided tours on Monday, July 24 at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. followed by another livestream on “Turned Out A Punk,” including a walkthrough of The Punk Rock Museum with Mike “Fat Mike” Burkett. Lastly, on Tuesday, July 25 at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., Abraham will lead additional guided tours followed by a final livestream on his podcast at the museum. Guests for this special episode will be announced shortly.

ABOUT FRED ARMISEN
Fred Armisen is a comedian, writer, producer and musician. He is an 11-season veteran of “Saturday Night Live” as well as the co-writer and co-star of IFC’s Emmy-nominated series “Portlandia,” which he created alongside the 2022 Cinema Unbound Award honoree Carrie Brownstein. He appears in the hit Netflix series “Wednesday” as Uncle Fester and the Universal Pictures animated feature “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” as the voice of Cranky Kong. He stars as Tico in HBO’s “Los Espookys,” which he co-wrote and executive produced.

Armisen also stars in, writes and produces IFC’s “Documentary Now!” for which he has received two Emmy nominations. He has also appeared in HBO’s “Our Flag Means Death,” Judd Apatow’s “The Bubble” and the Amazon series “Forever” (which he also executive produced). Lastly, he served as a voice actor on Netflix’s “Big Mouth” and “The Mitchells vs. The Machines.”

He began his career as a musician in the Chicago-based, post-punk band Trenchmouth as well as in the Blue Man Group. His transition to comedy came with the 1998 underground short film titled “Fred Armisen’s Guide to Music and South by Southwest.”

Damian Abraham has been many things… the singer of the critically acclaimed band Fucked Up, failed VJ, Food Network host, one of the minds behind “The Wrestlers” TV series and undeniably, a punk music obsessive.
