The Venetian® and The Palazzo® Las Vegas Launch New Mobile App with Innovative ‘Wayfinding’ Technology
VP Pocket Concierge offers hospitality industry’s first indoor turn-by-turn direction technology developed by Meridian
The Venetian | The Palazzo Pocket Concierge™, the resorts’ mobile app for Apple and Android smartphone users, brings the guest experience to the mobile world. Powered by Meridian, a mobile-software developer known for its location-based services, VP Pocket Concierge™ offers the hospitality industry’s most dynamic indoor “wayfinding” technologies.
With a campus that spans more than 16 million square feet, VP Pocket Concierge lets guests experience The Venetian and The Palazzo in a whole new way – anywhere, anytime. Guests can now navigate throughout the resorts’ multi-level complex with convenient turn-by-turn directions while browsing the interactive map or searching through a list of resort landmarks. VP Pocket Concierge allows users to easily locate restaurants, gaming areas, guest suites, nightlife venues, meeting spaces, pools, spa and other facilities including restrooms, nearest exits, parking facilities, ATMs, concierge and the front desk.
In addition to the first-of-its-kind indoor navigation systems, the mobile app lets users receive exclusive Grazie Loyalty Program offers and suite promotions, keep up with the latest entertainment news, make suite and restaurant reservations, purchase show tickets, and explore rich visual content on nightlife, dining, shopping, gaming and other resort attractions. A virtual tour section allows users to experience guest suites just like being there.
“The Venetian and The Palazzo are built upon the millions of unique experiences of guests and visitors every single day,” said Robert Rippee, senior vice president at The Venetian and The Palazzo. “VP Pocket Concierge simply enables those experiences to begin long before the guests arrive while its wayfinding benefits allow visitors the opportunity to spend less time navigating and more time having fun.”
VP Pocket Concierge is the first of four Las Vegas Sands resorts mobile apps that will be created using Meridian software. The Meridian Editor is the only content management system for location-based apps that allows enterprises to take control of the app and offer more relevant content and up-to-date navigation.
“The Venetian and The Palazzo are two of the world’s most recognizable luxury resort destinations,” said Kiyo Kubo, chief executive officer of Meridian. “We knew when we entered the hospitality and casino industry we wanted to go big and it doesn’t get much bigger than this.”
