All-New Hotpot Restaurant, The X Pot to Debut at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort this Winter

Founders Haibin Yang and David Zhao, known for Chubby Cattle and Xiang Hotpot, will soon debut all-new Asian fusion concept, The X Pot inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. Set to open this winter, the restaurant will offer an immersive hotpot dining experience with a specially crafted menu, pairing traditional style and reinvented flavors, that is sure to amaze.

Located on the retail level of the Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Palazzo tower, The X Pot will take the thousand-year-old hotpot tradition and elevate the experience with plenty of surprises along the way. The restaurant’s expert chefs will bring worldly melt-in-your-mouth flavors to the plate, serving up an array of popular Asian Fusion cuisine, complete with A5 Wagyu Beef and certified Kobe Beef.

The X Pot pays tribute to traditional Chinese cuisine with its hotpot technique, where guests can select and cook their own ingredients at the table in real-time. With an abundance of meat, seafood, and vegetable selections, guests will love this communal dining experience, perfect for all generations.

In addition to hotpot, the real star of the show at The X Pot is the certified Kobe Beef that will be showcased inside a specialty dry-aged display case, where the beef will be aged for at least 100 days before serving. The restaurant will be one of only nine restaurants located in Las Vegas that are able to house and serve certified Kobe. Guests will be able to select the quality and level of meat, based on how long the beef has been aged.

To complement the delectable menu, The X Pot will serve up a unique multi-sensory dining experience, from sensory stimulation to robot servers, allowing guests to engage all five senses. The restaurant will feature an array of beautiful HD 360 projections, thematic soundscapes, and interactive light shows that displays onto each plate. Plus, guests will be wowed by The X Pot’s high-tech smart-robot technology, as each dish will be delivered to the table using a unique technological program that proves the utmost efficiency in conjunction with human servers.

CUT BY WOLFGANG PUCK UNVEILS NEW LOOK AND MENU

Celebrating 10 years, the iconic restaurant continues to elevate Las Vegas’ fine dining scene

The iconic, award-winning restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck presents a new look at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort with an expanded bar and lounge and enhanced food and beverage offerings. The update is part of Puck’s creative vision to continually evolve and offer an authentic identity at each of his critically acclaimed CUT restaurants around the globe.

The redesign was spearheaded by CUT’s original designer Todd-Avery Lenahan, founder of local design firm TAL Studio, with a mission to maintain the restaurant’s admired style but elevate it to showcase a matured setting that today’s culture savvy clientele will embrace.

“As the culinary landscape of Las Vegas evolves, it’s important for us to continually look at ways to set the standard for an unrivaled dining experience,” said Wolfgang Puck. “We recently re-imagined Spago, and it was time for us to do the same at CUT.”

At the forefront is the expansion of the bar and lounge, which doubled in size. The lounge now seats 90, while an extended bar seats 20. A newly added shellfish and crudo bar on ice offers a striking presentation at one end of the bar.

Several new design elements refine and polish the setting including a rich and leathered stone bar, new custom plush seating paired with sophisticated acrylic top tables, textured walls and ceilings, wood flooring and a redesigned banquet room.

“For the past 10 years, we have delivered an extraordinary dining experience to our guests, and we look forward to enriching the restaurant’s character and sharpening its unparalleled quality with our new aesthetic and menu,” said Tom Kaplan, senior managing partner of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.

Executive Chef Matthew Hurley complements the design with new menu creations including dishes from the shellfish and crudo bar such as Maine Diver Scallops Crudo with Apple and White Alba Truffles; Chilled Red King Crab with Thai Red Curry Vinaigrette; Shellfish Plateaus; and Keluga Queen and Golden Oscetra Caviar service.

Hurley also updated several of CUT’s classic dishes such as Steak Tartare; Duo of Pork; and the famed Tuna Cones. Additionally, the restaurant now features an increased selection of true Japanese Wagyu from varying prefectures.

The bar boasts an expanded whiskey and brandy selection, showcasing a dramatic whiskey display behind the bar. Further bar highlights include new barrel-aged cocktails, a roving cocktail cart with bottle service and a more extensive wine list with 1,400 selections.

The bar and lounge are open nightly at 3 p.m. and the dining room is open from 5:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. For more information, please visit: http://wolfgangpuck.com/dining/cut-las-vegas/.

Hong Kong’s Mott 32 is Coming to The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

HONG KONG’s MOTT 32 IS COMING TO
THE PALAZZO AT THE VENETIAN RESORT LAS VEGAS

Mott 32, one of Hong Kong’s most award-winning restaurants and a culinary icon in contemporary Chinese cuisine, will open its first U.S. outpost this winter, bringing their Eastern concept West to The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The acclaimed menu combines authentic Chinese recipes handed down from generations with progressive cooking techniques. Paired with exceptional mixology methods and stunning design, the experience at Mott 32 is truly one of a kind.

“We wanted to do something different by bringing a little of Hong Kong to Las Vegas. Mott 32 is one of the only upscale Cantonese restaurants born in the Far East that will come to The Strip,” said Patrick Lang, vice president of restaurant and nightlife development for Las Vegas Sands. “Mott 32 is known for stunning design, innovative yet authentic Chinese cuisine, delicious hand-crafted cocktails and first-class service wrapped up in a vibrant, energetic environment. It is a unique brand that appeals to both Western and Asian customers perfect for our guests at The Venetian.”

The name Mott 32 comes from New York’s first Chinese convenience store that opened in 1891 at 32 Mott Street and was the nucleus for what is now a vibrant Chinatown in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Mott 32 is thus a celebration of Hong Kong culture and culinary tradition, and represents a modern Chinese city.

Farm-to-table cooking is at the heart of the restaurant’s menu. Led by Group Executive Chef Man-Sing Lee – a two-Michelin star chef in his previous role – and Vegas-based Head Chef Alan Ji, Mott 32’s culinary team meticulously sources the finest ingredients, allowing the authentic flavors to shinewith delicacies derived from Cantonese, Szechuan, and Beijing cultures. The signature dishes at Mott 32 will include Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck with Mott 32’s “Signature Cut,” Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork glazed with Yellow Mountain Honey, Iberico Pork with Soft Quail Egg and Black Truffle Siu Mai and Crispy Triple Cooked Wagyu Beef Short Ribs.

Mott 32 is a playful scene with a design that dares to be different. Renowned interior designer Joyce Wang will oversee the design of Mott 32 Las Vegas after the critical success of her Mott 32 designs in Hong Kong and Vancouver, which includes winning the “World Interior of the Year” award out of all categories for Mott 32’s Hong Kong outlet.

In addition to pairing New York industrialism with classic Chinese elements, The Palazzo location of Mott 32 has an added layer of details rich in Las Vegas culture. Various areas within the venue are delicately lit by neon signage – a cerebral trick on the viewer, who could find this reminiscent of either urban Chinese street market signs or the glimmering lights of Las Vegas.

The designs pay tribute to the history of Las Vegas – from a dining table made out of a vintage Roulette wheel, or the chandelier adorned with a feather boa. These intricate design elements, along with the venue’s open, spacious and inviting layout, provide the perfect setting for a full night experience.

“This is a most exciting period in our company’s history,” said Malcolm Wood, Founder & Group Managing Director of Maximal Concepts. “With the addition of its fourth global branch, set to open in Las Vegas, Mott 32 will reinforce its position as the leading luxury Chinese restaurant around the world. We’re excited to introduce the U.S. to a unique, luxurious yet comfortable fine-dining experience with a standard of authentic Chinese cuisine that does not exist here yet.”

Mott 32 will be located inside The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, spanning 11,715 square feet with five private dining rooms, and can accommodate up to 242 seats at any one time. Mott 32 will be open for dinner seven days a week.

The Venetian and The Palazzo, Powered by Sands Cares, Make a $25,000 Donation to ‘Mondays Dark’

THE VENETIAN AND THE PALAZZO, POWERED BY SANDS CARES, MAKE A $25,000 DONATION TO ‘MONDAYS DARK’

Sands Cares, the global corporate citizenship program of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Las Vegas Sands Corp., is donating $25,000 to help fund the operating costs of local philanthropic organization, Mondays Dark.

Twice a month, Mondays Dark gathers an eclectic cast of guests, including stars from Hollywood and the Las Vegas Strip, musical acts, comedians, athletes, and the occasional celebrity chef, for 90 minutes of conversation, entertainment, and plenty of laughs – with a mission is to raise $10,000 per performance for a rotating roster of Las Vegas charities. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Since 2013, the ongoing program has partnered with more than 50 local charities, raising more than $500,000.

“By helping to fund their operating costs, we can ensure that 100 percent of funds raised at each performance can go to Las Vegas charities,” said Stephanie Stanton, director of Sands Cares. “Through this donation, we want to help Mondays Dark run with virtually no expenses.”

The donation will be ceremoniously presented by the cast of “BAZ – A Musical Mash Up” at an upcoming show.

“When I moved to Vegas to open Rock of Ages, The Venetian was essentially my home for three years. I had the time of my life performing there and became great friends with many who work there,” said Mark Shunock, founder of Mondays Dark and The Space. “It’s an honor to have Sands Cares recognize Mondays Dark and the work we are doing in the community. To have them on our team is something I don’t take lightly. It means the world to me and I’m so grateful for their support.”

Las Vegas Sands Corp. has a deep and longstanding commitment to giving back to not only our community, but integrates philanthropic work worldwide with the help of priceless donations, such as countless hours of Team Member volunteerism, and in-kind support.

“Not only does this donation support the Las Vegas arts community, it also a nonprofit that is ‘paying it forward’ by fundraising for other nonprofits,” continued Stanton. “This is a great example of an organization that has found a way to serve multiple audiences and is a win/win for everybody.”

Upcoming partner charities include St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (February); Miracle Flights and Baby’s Bounty (March); Tyler Robinson Foundation and HELP of Southern Nevada (April); and New Vista and Positively Arts Foundation (May).

Sands Cares also donated theatre and staging equipment to help the organization create The Space, a Las Vegas community-driven charity-based arts complex, and home to Mondays Dark.

The Venetian Las Vegas

Olympic Gymnast Nastia Liukin visited The Venetian Las Vegas Monday, Jan. 8, when she experienced several of the property’s world-class offerings with her fiancé Matt Lombardi and friend Amanda Keenan. Liukin, who was in Las Vegas to speak at a CES conference, “The Future of Fan Engagement,” enjoyed dinner at Chica, craft cocktails at Rosina, and took photos at The Palazzo’s LOVE art installation.

While at Chica, she and her guests feasted on octopus, ceviche, a trio of salsas and churro ice cream pops before heading to Rosina, The Palazzo’s newest cocktail bar, where she sipped on a French 75. No visit to the acclaimed property is complete without a photo at LOVE on display at The Palazzo’s Waterfall Atrium, where she and Lombardi took the opportunity to capture some romantic images.

An accomplished gymnast since a young age, Nastia Liukin has won more than 25 medals in various events including winning the gold medal in the women’s all-around at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, having been only the third American woman to do so.
