UnCommons Debuts December Line-up of Community Events

The bustling mixed-use community in Southwest Las Vegas will participate in the annual

“Fill the Fire Truck” toy drive, alongside its festive community programming next month

UnCommons, the mixed-use community developed by Matter Real Estate Group located at the 215 Beltway and Durango Dr., will host recurring and special community events throughout December.

 

The community is making the holiday season merry and bright with its lineup of festive events, including a holiday celebration at The Sundry, Sunday Sessions hosted by Beyond the Neon Poetry, plus shopping small from local vendors at both Market in the Alley and Fresh52 Farmers Market and more.

 

The complete schedule of December events at UnCommons is as follows:

 

“Fill the Fire Truck” Toy Drive

From Friday, Dec. 1 through Monday, Dec. 18, UnCommons will be collecting donations for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation’s annual “Fill the Fire Truck” toy drive. Collection stations will be in The Quad, at The Sundry and located throughout the campus inside the BDO and Morgan Stanley office buildings where new, unwrapped toys can be donated to benefit disadvantaged children and families throughout the valley.

Blues & Brunch

Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Sundry, a distinctive food hall experience at UnCommons, presents “Blues & Brunch” featuring live music, brunch bites and bloody marys, courtesy of Diane Mina from Diane’s Bloody Mary Bar.

 

Market in the Alley

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, UnCommons hosts Market in the Alley in The Quad. Shop small this holiday season and discover local Las Vegas creators and curators on the first Sunday of each month.

 

Regional Poetry Slam Competition Presented by Beyond the Neon

On Sunday, Dec. 3, Beyond the Neon (BTN) will host a regional poetry slam at 5 p.m. in The Quad. Twelve randomly selected poets will compete head-to-head for cash prizes and the title of poetry slam champion. Guests can sign-up on UnCommons website. On Sunday, Dec. 17, BTN will host a poetry book club from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Quad, with lively discussions based on the reading Amazing Peace by Maya Angelou. Guests can sign up on EventBrite.

Fresh52 Farmers Market

On Sunday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., UnCommons hosts Fresh52 Farmers Market, a local open-air marketplace. An array of vendors sell organic produce, organic pasture raised grass finished beef, locally produced honey, fresh baked breads, desserts, hand-crafted products and more. Fresh52 occurs on the second Sunday of each month.

 

Brunch with Santa

On Sunday, Dec. 17, Santa’s coming to UnCommons. He will be visiting The Sundry from noon to 3 p.m. to spread Christmas cheer and take pictures with guests. Special hot chocolate drinks will be available for the kids along with spiked options for adults. Reservations can be made on The Sundry’s website.

 

Gingerbread House Decorating

On Monday, Dec. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m., The Sundry will hold gingerbread house decorating workshops. Kids ages 6-12 can participate in these sweet events. Tickets can be purchased on The Sundry’s website.

 

St. Sundry Sweater Soirée

The Sundry will host a holiday party on Thursday, Dec. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets include an all-you-can-eat buffet-style dinner experience, participation in a White Elephant gift exchange and ugly sweater competition. Eight new holiday inspired cocktails will be available at The Center Bar and can be purchased at an additional cost. Tickets can be purchased on The Sundry’s website.This event is for guests 21 and over.
