World Renowned Sandwich Shop, all’Antico Vinaio,
to Give Away 100 Free Sandwiches to Honor its Highly
Anticipated Opening at UnCommons

Revered Florentine street food experience is bringing its opulent sandwiches to
Southwest Las Vegas in partnership with revered restaurateur, Joe Bastianich

The fifth all’Antico Vinaio location in the United States will celebrate its eagerly awaited grand opening this month at UnCommons, the first-of-its-kind 40-acre community in Southwest Las Vegas. On Friday, Jan. 26, the Florence, Italy-founded shop will mark its grand opening with a free sandwich for the first 100 people in line.

With an intimate 1,350-square-foot space at 8533 Rozita Lee Ave., Suite 100, all’Antico Vinaio is considered to be one of the top street food experiences in the world for its opulent sandwiches, which have been introduced to the U.S. by Tommaso “Tommy” Mazzanti, whose family founded the restaurant, and revered restaurateur, Joe Bastianich. Praised by Saveur magazine as “home of the world’s best sandwiches,” all’Antico Vinaio debuted its first U.S. location in New York City in 2021, where lines of New Yorkers and visitors are known to stand in lines that wrap around the block.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to have reached Las Vegas with my banner,” said Mazzanti. “This city is another fundamental point in our global journey for all’Antico Vinaio, and will be the first in 2024. With more than 20 stores all over the world, this opening will mark our brand’s significant growth while creating more jobs in the city. Today, we have more than 300 team members around the world and serve nearly 50 million guests. We can’t wait to cut the ribbon in the amazing city of Las Vegas.”

Beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, all’Antico Vinaio and UnCommons will host a ribbon cutting with District A County Commissioner Michael Naft, who will make a proclamation to declare the day as “All’Antico Vinaio Day.” Starting at noon, the shop will offer a complimentary sandwich for the first 100 guests, limited to one per person. A selection of its famous sandwiches made with authentic Tuscan ingredients, from pecorino to truffles, include the La Schiacciata del Boss, made with prosciutto Toscano, pecorino Toscano and truffle cream; and La Summer, made with prosciutto Toscano, mozzarella, tomato and basil.

“Being one of the pioneering U.S. locations to showcase this globally acclaimed brand is a distinct honor,” said Jim Stuart, partner at Matter Real Estate Group. “Welcoming all’Antico Vinaio is a celebration in itself, and further reinforces our commitment to establishing UnCommons as an unparalleled culinary haven. We are confident that our residents, tenants and the greater community will revel in the iconic sandwiches they have to offer.”

Founded by the Mazzanti family in 1991, all’Antico Vinaio translates to “at the ancient wine merchant’s” and comes from a historical wine bar, Antico Vinaio, which was located across the street from the original shop. Since opening, the Mazzanti family has been passionately running all’Antico Vinaio and has been drawing crowds of both Italians and tourists alike due to its exceptional ingredients and freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread.

With its much-anticipated arrival, all’Antico Vinaio will join what is shaping up to be a hotbed of culinary talent at UnCommons, which is home to The Sundry by TableOne Hospitality, Wineaux by James Beard Award-winning chef, Shawn McClain and others.
