On Friday, July 22, Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, the acclaimed signature restaurant at SLS Las Vegas, welcomes Cornelius Dönnhoff, winemaker and owner of Dönnhoff winery, and invites guests to a special, six-course wine pairing dinner. The exclusive dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $150 per person.

 

Located in the winegrowing region of Oberhäusen an der Nahe, Germany, Dönnhoff is world renowned for their variety of Rieslings and other white wines. The family-run winery was established in the 1750s and is home to some of the oldest vineyards in the region, where grapes are still picked by hand. The volcanic rock, slate, sandstone and loam in which the grapes grow allow for a variety of notes to shine through, resulting in a range of spicy, fruity, acidic and full-bodied Rieslings, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blancs.

 

Recently awarded Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence for the second year, Bazaar Meat has a vast array of wines available to perfectly complement each meal. Focusing on white wine varietals during this one-night-only dinner, guests will be taken on a journey of the senses as Cornelius Dönnhoff, ThinkFoodGroup Wine Director Andy Myers, and Bazaar Meat Lead Sommelier Chloe Helfand describe how each wine was specifically chosen to pair with the superb menu.
