Trattoria Italia is an intimate, authentic Italian restaurant that serves delicious meals and wine. The dishes are cooked with family recipes and authentic Italian flavor, all with a sense of adventure and fine dining. This includes the special Happy Hour menu, served from 4 to 6 p.m. daily. Live music will enhance the dining experience on selected days.
The Happy Hour menu features shareable and light appetizers, including Bruschetta Siciliana made with crostini bread and topped with caponata (eggplant, capers, olives, tomatoes) in light balsamic reduction sauce. The six-ounce Meatball is topped with ricotta cheese and served with homemade marinara sauce. Focaccia Calabrese blends rosemary, garlic, and anchovies with a touch of red pepper. Melenzane Ripiene is two thinly sliced eggplant stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach in a vodka sauce. Clams Cassino highlights four littleneck clams stuffed with a mixture of bell peppers and onions baked with pancetta in a white wine butter sauce. Fried Zucchine is breaded and served over marinara sauce.
For bigger appetites, Half Roasted Chicken is sautéed garlic and chimichurri with a touch of Cointreau, served over mashed potatoes. Filet Mignon al Pepe Verde is a tender four-ounce filet with peppercorn sauce. Pair with select draft beer, wine, or well drinks for $5. Vodka and gin well martinis can be enjoyed for $7 and Aperol Spritz for $8.
Then there is Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14, and Trattoria Italia is the perfect place to take Mom on her special day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. She will have her choice of pasta, pizzas, salads, soups, and some delightful entrees. This includes Veal Parmigiana topped with fresh marinara sauce and mozzarella, served with angel hair. The Lamb Shank is slowly braised (eight hours) lamb shank served with homemade gnocchi. The Dry Aged Rib Eye (16 ounces) is served with roasted potatoes in a gremolata sauce. The Half Roasted Chicken includes roast bell peppers and pancetta in a light red sauce and roasted potatoes.
Happy Hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. daily. Regular hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
