Ferraro’s One of Eight U.S. Restaurants to Earn Tre Forchette Award


Ferraro’s Ristorante, the fine-dining establishment known for its authentic Italian fare and elegant ambiance, announces it has received the highest award for its culinary program, the “Tre Forchette”—or Three Forks—from Gambero Rosso International, the global authority on Italian wine, food, travel and culture. The award was presented by Gambero Rosso Managing Director Luigi Salerno to owners Gino and Rosalba Ferraro at the Gambero Rosso International’s Tre Bicchieri event in Los Angeles on Feb. 27.

Only 33 restaurants outside of Italy, and just eight U.S. restaurants, have received Gambero Rosso’s highest ranking. Last year, Ferraro’s received Gambero Rosso’s highest “Tre Bottiglie”—Three Bottles—award for its wine list, making it one of only four restaurants worldwide to receive the organization’s top awards for both food and wine.

In its review of the restaurant, Gambero Rosso International wrote:

“The Vitello Tonnato was delightfully cooked, and it is really a must-try as suggested by the menu, and the Nonna’s peperoni ripieni (bell peppers stuffed with ground veal, eggplant, Parmigiano Reggiano and breadcrumbs) reminded us of the South of Italy. As for the beverage, it is worth spending some time on the wine list: from wines by the glass to bottles and big formats, the labels are well selected and range from all over Italy. If you’re a wine lover, you are in for a treat.”
