AT ANNUAL SHAKESPEARE RANCH RODEO & DINNER, JULY 19 & 20
Chef Emeril Lagasse Hosts Lavish Dinner to Raise Funds for Neurocognitive Disorders
On July 19 and 20, Keep Memory Alive will host the annual Shakespeare Ranch Rodeo and celebrity chef dinner with Emeril Lagasse for a weekend of Western-style fun and fundraising. Proceeds from the weekend’s events support Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s work toward enhanced treatments and research of neurocognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS and dementia.
“We are very excited to once again host our annual rodeo and gourmet dinner with celebrated Chef Emeril Lagasse. We look forward to celebrating with all who have joined in the fight against memory loss,” said Larry Ruvo, Chairman of Keep Memory Alive. “At Shakespeare Ranch, guests will experience an extravagant weekend of thrilling professional rodeo events and delicious food and wine.”
Camille and Larry Ruvo, along with the McGill family, resurrected the Glenbrook rodeo in 2000 after it was discontinued in 1965. On Friday, July 19, the rodeo will feature bull riding and barrel racing, as well as carnival games, a watermelon eating contest for kids, Western-style barbeque and a special performance from country rock bank, Left of Centre. The day will also include a luxurious silent auction with an incredible variety of items ranging sports memorabilia and jewelry to travel packages.
On Saturday, July 20, the festivities continue when world-renowned restaurateur Emeril Lagasse cowboys up in the kitchen to prepare an extraordinary dinner at Shakespeare Ranch. Guests will enjoy the best of his signature cuisine with a selection of fine wine and spirits. The evening will also feature a surprise headliner; past entertainers include Lionel Richie, Robin Williams, Jay Leno and Sammy Hagar.
Tickets to the rodeo are $275 for adults and $75 for children under 13. Table sponsorships are still available for the Emeril Lagasse dinner, but space is limited.
