Last night, Aug. 19, The After Party, composed of Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean and Nick Carter, *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris, kicked off their limited engagement at The Summit Showroom inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Concertgoers were on their feet instantly as The After Party opened the show with “Motownphilly” before the group immediately transitioned into a high-energy performance of “Larger Than Life.”
Along with showcasing their record-smashing chart toppers, the ‘90s heartthrobs shared intimate stories with the sold-out audience chronicling their journey on the road and Carter and Fatone reminisced about their time on FOX’s hit show “The Masked Singer.” The duo then had an impromptu sing-off serenading each other with crowd favorites including “Livin La Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin and “Toxic” by Britney Spears. Carter used the moment to publicly support the fellow pop-sensation and encouraged the crowd to join in the #FreeBritney movement.
The pop-up band was later joined on stage by Grammy Award-winning artist Luis Fonsi, who performed his internally acclaimed single, “Despacito,” and also revealed that Fatone and Fonsi went to high school together. The audience kept the electric energy going as the group closed the night in true iconic fashion by singing “Everybody” (Backstreet’s Back) and “Bye, Bye, Bye” with the enthusiastic crowd.
Tickets to the remaining three performances (Aug. 20, 21, and 22) start at $65 plus applicable fees, and can be purchased at any box office at The Venetian Resort, online at venetian.com or by calling 702.414.9000 or 866.641.7469. A limited number of VIP Sound Check Experiences are also available for purchase. All shows start at 9 p.m.
