MIRACLE MILE SHOPS COLLECTS FOUNTAIN DONATIONS FOR USO LAS VEGAS JULY 1-31

This July, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will collect donations in its fountain for USO Las Vegas, as part of the retail center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign.

Change tossed in the popular water feature as well as Miracle Mile Shops’ indoor rainstorm will be donated to the local USO branch, assisting in feeding U.S. troops traveling through McCarran International Airport. For every two dollars donated, USO Las Vegas can feed one military personnel a meal and provide snacks for their flight.

Additionally, all month long, Miracle Mile Shops will offer complimentary Shop.Dine.Save. coupon books featuring more than $2,500 in savings to all military personnel who bring their military ID to the center’s customer service desk operated by Tickets & Tours.

USO Las Vegas has served more than 85,000 military guests since opening its doors in November, 2010. The USO has more than 160 locations worldwide, with 600 employees and more than 24,000 volunteers.

Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with USO Las Vegas is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, celebrating a year of change in 2013. In addition to monthly fountain fundraisers, the Caring, Giving, Changing campaign also raises funds for other programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations. In previous months, Miracle Mile Shops teamed up with The Shade Tree (January), Goodie Two Shoes Foundation (February), March of Dimes (March), Easter Seals Nevada (April), Dress For Success Southern Nevada (May) and WestCare Nevada (June). Other organizations receiving fountain fundraisers as part of the community outreach campaign include: Communities In Schools of Nevada (August), Nevada PEP (September), United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council (October), the Nevada Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (November) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Henderson (December).
