Meanwhile, Straight No Chaser’s hugely successful “The New Old Fashioned Tour” concludes with a series of upcoming summer shows, highlighted by a two night weekend spectacular at Los Angeles’ historic Hollywood Bowl with the one and only Weird Al Yankovic, set for July 22 and 23.

The “I’ll Have Another…World Tour” follows Straight No Chaser’s most recent release, 2015’s “THE NEW OLD FASHIONED.” The album sees the renowned group bringing their unique touch and inimitable vocal style to a stunning range of contemporary standards spanning The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and Hozier’s “Take Me To Church” to Radiohead’s “Creep” and Bob Dylan’s tender “Make You Feel My Love.” “THE NEW OLD FASHIONED” further features a number of Straight No Chaser’s incomparable medleys, including “Beggin’/Counting Stars” (blending favorites from Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and One Republic) and “On The Road Again/I Play The Road” (originally by Willie Nelson and Zac Brown Band, respectively).

Silverton Casino Hotel welcomes Spring with the re-opening of Sway Pool Lounge

Locals’ favorite pool opens back up for the season with the sounds of reggae

Sway Pool Lounge at Silverton Casino Hotel celebrates its re-opening on Saturday, April 14 at 6 p.m. The event kicks off the Bikinis, Bands and Burgers concert series with food specials for purchase by Johnny Rockets, drink specials and a performance by Grammy Award winning reggae band Steel Pulse at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 the day of.

Famed reggae band Steel Pulse takes the stage at the much anticipated re-opening party at Sway Pool Lounge. This reggae band pushed its way onto the music scene in 1978 with the debut album Handsworth Revolution. After a lot of time and hard work, the band’s album Babylon The Bandit won a Grammy for “Best Reggae Album.”

Steel Pulse continued to release hits throughout the ‘80s and contributed the song “Can’t Stand It” to the soundtrack of Spike Lee’s movie “Do The Right Thing.” The group started the ‘90s off with a bang after receiving a Grammy nomination for the live album Rastafari Centennial in 1992. A year later, the group performed at Bill Clinton’s inaugural celebration, which marked them the first reggae band to perform at a presidential inauguration.
