Summer is officially here, and to ring in the new season comes menu updates at Carson Kitchen in Downtown Las Vegas. Developed by Owner/Chef Cory Harwell and Culinary Director John Courtney, the all-new menu features a seasonal selection of refreshing flavors perfect for the warmer weather.

 

 

“We are excited to officially celebrate two years of Carson Kitchen, here in Downtown Las Vegas,” said Cory Harwell of Simon Hospitality Group. “The Las Vegas community has welcomed Carson and our fun approach to familiar dishes with a twist, and we are thrilled to continue with new seasonal menus throughout the year. With summer in full swing, we wanted to add a selection of summertime favorites, from our falafel sliders to Hawaiian spiced rum pineapple with Tasso ham flatbread.”

 

Carson Kitchen is bringing out the best seasonal flavors with an array of new savory dishes. Highlights include BBQ burnt ends (house pickles, highbrow ranch); potato skins (fried bologna, sour cream); sea bass (charred lemon, herbed greens); spiced watermelon (feta, cucumber, tajine) and Strawberry Pie (Harry’s berries, licor 43 whipped cream); to name a few.

 

To complement the menu additions, guests can imbibe with new revitalizing cocktails such as Sneaky Tiki (Avua Prata Cachaça, Licor 43, pineapple, fresh lime, coriander simple syrup); purple haze (George Dickel rye, St. Elder liqueur, fresh lime, mint, blueberry preserves); Thai One On (Whistling Andy Hibiscus Coconut Rum, green tea, egg white, lemongrass simple syrup, Thai bitters) and Try Something New (Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, watermelon purée, contratto bitters liqueur, basil simple syrup, ginger beer).

SIMON HOSPITALITY GROUP AND TITAN BRANDS TEAM UP TO OPEN ALL-NEW STANDARD & POUR IN HENDERSON

 

Simon Hospitality Group and Titan Brands are teaming up to debut their all-new joint venture restaurant, Standard & Pour. Set to debut late summer, guests will soon be treated to a unique gastro lounge style restaurant featuring a collection of social plates, led by Co-Owner/Chef Cory Harwell and Culinary Director of Simon Hospitality Group John Courtney, coupled with a distinctive beverage program.

 

“The Henderson-Anthem area is the perfect location for Standard & Pour,” said Scott Frost, President at Titan Brands. “Locals will soon be able to experience an independent restaurant in a neighborhood environment, and enjoy quality food and service with a spectacular view. While this is the first collaboration between Simon Hospitality Group and Titan Brands, Standard & Pour has been a long-time vision between myself, Jeffery Marks, Cory Harwell and the late Kerry Simon, and we are excited to see the restaurant come to life.”

 

Standard & Pour will celebrate comfortable and recognizable food while using familiar vehicles to introduce guests to new and exciting ingredients. Chefs Harwell and Courtney have developed a fun, upscale menu showcasing standard-inspired dishes with an exotic twist. In addition, Jake Dieleman, currently the Executive Sous Chef of Carson Kitchen, will join the Standard & Pour team as the Executive Chef. From port wine mac n’ cheese to escargot wellington, the restaurant will allow guests to enjoy a variety of playful creations in small plate portions, ideal for a social dining experience. Paired to elevate and complement the overall experience, the beverage program will feature an array of beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails.
