Early registrants receive limited-time discount as Opportunity Village’s beloved fun run takes over Downtown Las Vegas Saturday, December 5
Returning for its 11th year, the iconic Las Vegas Great Santa Run, benefitting Opportunity Village, has opened an early bird registration special to kick off one of the largest gatherings of Santa-clad runners in the world Saturday, December 5 in Downtown Las Vegas.
The early bird discount for this year’s Great Santa Run presents a limited-time offer for any Saint Nicks who register for the 5K run or one-mile Kris Kringle Jingle walk now through August 29. The discounted price is $30 for individuals and $20 for children under 12-years-old. Registration includes a five-piece Santa suit, a runner goody bag and a commemorative medal from event sponsors. Participants also are encouraged to bring their canine companions, who can join in on the fun for $10 and receive a doggie bag full of treats. Registration is available on the Great Santa Run website.
“Last year, Shape Magazine named the Great Santa Run one of the ‘Top 10 Costume Runs in the World’ and we plan to uphold that standing this year,” said Linda Smith, Senior Executive Vice President of Opportunity Village. “We are excited to come back to celebrate 11 years of one of Las Vegas’ favorite traditions and give back to our OVIPs during the most wonderful time of the year.”
The Great Santa Run raises funds and awareness for Opportunity Village’s programs, which provide unparalleled opportunities, enrichment and support to more than 2,000 citizens with disabilities and their families throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The reigning champion of the “World Santa Alliance” for nine years, the Great Santa Run hopes to bring the challenge trophy back to Las Vegas in 2015 from its competition in Liverpool.
