The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, will open a brief three-game homestand against first-place El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, on Tuesday, July 23 at Las Vegas Ballpark®.  The series will conclude on Thursday, July 25 and all games will begin at 7:05 p.m. The two teams are playing a home-and-home six-game series. The Aviators will then travel to El Paso, Texas for a three-game series at Southwest University Park from Friday-Sunday, July 26-28.

The Aviators, 58-42 (.580), are currently on a seven-game road trip that will conclude in Salt Lake City, Utah against the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, on Sunday, July 21. The next scheduled off day for the PCL is Monday, July 22.

The Aviators lead Triple-A baseball (30 teams: 16 in PCL; 14 in International League) in total home attendance (459,468) and average (9,377 in 49 dates).

The Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, lead the IL in total home attendance (410,692 – 8,381 average in 49 dates).

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, lead the IL in total home average (378,779 – 8,417 average in 45 dates).

 

2019 LAS VEGAS BALLPARK ATTENDANCE: In 49 dates, Las Vegas total is 459,468 for an average of 9,377 (35 sellouts). The season-high sellout crowd was 12,111 vs. Tacoma on May 14 (Smokers Strike Out 16th Annual School Day Game). The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 37 seasons (1983-2019). The all-time attendance total now stands at 12,460,479.

In 36 seasons at Cashman Field (1983-2016), the attendance total was 12,001,011.

LAS VEGAS BALLPARK WINNER OF 2019 MiLB TRIPLE-A BEST OF THE BALLPARKS FAN VOTE (JULY 1): Las Vegas Ballpark defeated Southwest University Park, home of the El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, to win this year’s Triple-A Best of the Ballparks fan vote. Over 85,000 fans voted in all five rounds of the Triple-A Best of the Ballparks fan vote, with almost 500,000 fans voting to date in the overall competition. After several close votes in previous rounds, the final vote resulted in Las Vegas Ballpark with a 55.6% to 44.4% margin win over the El Paso Chihuahuas.

The 2019 Ronald McDonald House Charities Triple-A All-Star Game, the 32nd annual contest featuring the International League vs. Pacific Coast League, will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at Southwest University Park in El Paso, Texas, home of the Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Las Vegas will also host the Grizzlies on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.; Sunday at 12:05 p.m. and Monday at 7:05 p.m.

The Aviators will then host the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, in a four-game series from Tuesday-Friday, May 7-10 (all games at 7:05 p.m.). The homestand will then conclude with a four-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, from Saturday-Tuesday, May 11-14.

Saturday and Monday’s games (May 11 & 13) will begin at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday (May 12-Mother’s Day at 12:05 p.m. and the homestand finale on Tuesday, May 14 with a special start time of 10:35 a.m. for the 16th Annual School Day game).

The Aviators, 16-11, are currently on a brief four-game road trip in Northern Nevada against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The trip will conclude on Thursday evening at Greater Nevada Field. Las Vegas, under manager Fran Riordan, are in the first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the A’s.

The Aviators organization, in the finale of the homestand on Tuesday, May 14, will present Smoker’s Strike Out 16th Annual School Day Game, sponsored by the American Lung Association. The day will feature a field trip to 5th grade students in the Clark County School District for the special start time of 10:35 a.m.

Over the past 15 seasons at Cashman Field, a total of 138,526 fans attended the morning games.  Last season (May 1, 2018), a crowd of 8,874 attended the game between Sacramento/Las Vegas (Sacramento, 5-1).  The 51s hosted Tucson in the inaugural “school day” game on May 6, 2004, before a crowd of 4,224.

The Tobacco Awareness Program, through the Clark County School District, is an important event that takes place prior to the “School Day” game that serves to educate the young students on the dangers of cigarette smoking.

The PCL has a scheduled off day on Tuesday, April 23.  Las Vegas, under manager Fran Riordan, are in the first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the A’s.

The Aviators organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada. The franchise is playing in their 37th season in the Silver State as a member of the PCL.

2019 LAS VEGAS BALLPARK ATTENDANCE: In 7 dates, Las Vegas total is 68,210 for an average of 9,744 (seven sellouts).  The grand opening game on April 9 was a season-high sellout crowd of 11,036 vs. Sacramento. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 36 seasons (1983-2018). The all-time attendance total now stands at 12,069,221.  In 36 seasons at Cashman Field (1983-2018), the attendance total was 12,001,011.

The opener of the homestand on April 24 against the Chihuahuas will feature Wag Your Tail Wednesdays / Bark on the Berm.

            $2 Beer Night will be presented in game two of the series against El Paso on Thursday, April 25. Proper identification is required for $2 beer night. 

HomeAid Southern Nevada, official outreach partner of Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, will sponsor a “Baby Essentials Drive” at the ballpark on Thursday, April 25.

Fans can bring diapers, wipes, bottles, formula and all collected items will be donated to Living Grace Home and The Shade Tree. For each fan donation, they will receive a $5 certificate to use at the concession stand.

The inaugural post-game Fireworks Show in Las Vegas Ballpark will be presented in game three of the series on Friday, April 26.  The game is sold out!

             STAR WARS NIGHT will then be featured on Saturday, April 27.  The game is sold out!

Game four of the series against the Chihuahuas on Saturday, April 27 will also feature the second of 10 games broadcast live on YurView on Cox cable channels 14 and 1014 in high definition. Russ Langer and Jerry Reuss will call the action.

Little League Day/Sunday Family Day will be presented in the homestand finale on April 28. Pre-Game Yoga on the Field will also be featured.

El Paso’s roster features three of the top 10 prospects in the Padres organization, according to Baseball America: left-handed pitcher Logan Allen (No. 8); outfielder Josh Naylor (No. 9); right-handed pitcher Cal Quantrill (No. 10).

El Paso has captured four straight Pacific Southern Division titles (2015-18) and were the PCL champions in 2016. Manager Edwin Rodriguez played for the Las Vegas Stars (infielder) from 1984-87. He was the manager of the Florida Marlins from 2010-11 and the Puerto Rico National Team (2012-17).

Following the homestand, the Aviators will embark on a brief four-game road trip to Northern Nevada beginning on Monday, April 29 to face intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, at Greater Nevada Field.  The series will conclude on Thursday, May 2.

SILVER STATE DIAMOND CHALLENGE: In 2009, Las Vegas and Reno developed the Silver State Diamond Challenge and the “Silver Plate Trophy” to add to the excitement to the rivalry for the two PCL teams that represent the state of Nevada.  Reno defeated Las Vegas, 3-games-to-1, in the 2015 PCL Conference Championship Series.

The 2019 campaign will mark the 11th season of the S.S.D.C.

The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, will face the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in the 37th season “Home Opener” in the Silver State on Tuesday, April 9 at the grand opening of Las Vegas Ballpark® at 7:05 p.m.

The first homestand of the 2019 campaign will consist of seven games against the River Cats from Tuesday-Thursday, April 9-11 (three-game series) and a four-game series against Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, from Friday-Monday, April 12-15. All games will begin at 7:05 p.m. except for Sunday, April 14 at 12:05 p.m.

The Aviators opened the 2019 campaign with a five-game road trip against El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, from Thursday-Monday, April 4-8. Las Vegas, under manager Fran Riordan, are in the first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the A’s.

El Paso has captured four straight Pacific Southern Division titles (2015-18) and will visit Las Vegas during the season homestand from April 24-28.

            2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE (final season): In 70 dates, Las Vegas total was 332,224 for an average of 4,746 in the final season for Triple-A professional baseball at Cashman Field. Las Vegas’ largest crowd was a sellout of 12,512 vs. Sacramento on September 1. The Aviators Team Photo, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates, will be featured in the homestand finale against the Grizzlies on Monday, April 15.

The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, announced today that deposits for 2019 season tickets at the “new” Las Vegas Ballpark will begin on Monday, July 9 at 10 a.m.

Fans can reserve their spot in the Las Vegas Ballpark by placing a season ticket deposit for just $100 per seat; $100 per seat for club seat and $100 for a group event.

Customers who place a deposit will be able to select their seats after current 51s season ticket holders. Deposit priority will be based on the time and date of deposit.

Inventory is limited on season tickets and the opportunity to purchase will be determined on a first come – first served basis. Priority order is based on 2018 season ticket holders, followed by customers who make a $100 deposit and finally the general public.

The $100 deposit will be kept on the customers account to secure the priority. At the date of the purchase, the deposit will be applied towards the total cost of the season tickets or group event.  All deposits are refundable if customers decide not to purchase tickets.

            NOTE: For fans that are currently a SEASON TICKET HOLDER or GROUP BUYER, there is no need to place a deposit for the 2019 season.
