Grimaldi’s Pizzeria Raises Over $140,000 for No Kid Hungry® to
Help End Childhood Hunger in the U.S.
Funds Raised During September Promotion will go to Charity

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria thanks its employees and patrons for rallying around No Kid Hungry® during the first week of their campaign. At week’s end, more than $140,000 was raised; helping connect children in America to the nutritious food they need, every day. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria was overwhelmed by the support provided by patrons and employees, shattering their fundraising goal in just one week.

Throughout September, in honor of Hunger Awareness Month, guests who dine at any Nevada Grimaldi’s Pizzeria location can continue to donate to No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry is a charitable organization that works to end childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, everyday. Guests are able to donate $5 to No Kid Hungry, and will receive $5 back to use on their next visit to Grimaldi’s. 100% of the raised proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry.

“We feel extremely grateful for our wonderful patrons and employees that have backed us on our initiative to provide healthy meals for children in the U.S. I look forward to continuing our campaign through the end of September, and cannot wait to see how much of a difference we will make this year for our local communities,” said Eric Greenwald, President of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and No Kid Hungry Board Member.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is one of thousands of restaurants nationwide to support No Kid Hungry ® this month. In 2014, Grimaldi’s raised $70,000, and the total 11,000 participating restaurants raised $8.9 million for the campaign. This year, the restaurant has already exceeded 2014 fundraising efforts in just one week for the organization. Funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S., support nutrition programs like School Breakfast and Summer Meals, and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy dishes with limited resources.
