Scheduled to debut at the center of the Strip this winter, Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN restaurant is the first eatery inspired by a global hit television show.

 Brooklyn Bowl is famous for its fried chicken – “without question the best, crispy, crunchy, yummy fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life,” said Chef Michael Psilakis on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.”  From a recipe created by Brooklyn Bowl partners Bruce and Eric Bromberg of acclaimed Blue Ribbon Restaurants for the original Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Las Vegas tourists and locals alike have been getting their fried chicken fix at the Las Vegas location of the iconic venue since its opening last March. Now, the gluten-averse have cause for celebration. The perfectly crispy, impossibly savory gluten-free version of the mouthwatering recipe is now available exclusively at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

Brooklyn Bowl’s gluten-free fried chicken is prepared by Executive Chef Dermott Driscoll with gluten-free matzo meal flown in directly from Israel. The restaurant has contracted for 4,000 pounds of the special matzo, which is only produced three times per year.

Combined with Blue Ribbon’s proprietary spice blend, the matzo meal provides the optimal texture to ensure the chicken is not only gluten-free, but also irresistibly crunchy. Available as dinners, including a half-chicken (dark, mixed or white), served with mashed potatoes, collard greens with bacon and honey; as well as platters, which consist of 8 to 24 pieces of chicken (available in dark, mixed or white), the gluten-free fried chicken will be offered at the same price as the Bowl’s traditional fried chicken. Prices for dinners are $18 for dark, $20 for mixed and $22 for white; platters are priced at $24 to $59 for dark, $26 to $64 for mixed and $30 to $72 for white.

Border Grill Las Vegas is thrilled to announce their new all-star team, who will be leading the opening of the new location at The Forum Shops at Caesars.

 

Chef Chris Keating will serve as the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Jennifer Holley as the General Manager, Chef Agustin Guevara as Executive Sous Chef, and Chef Nicole Grimes as Sous Chef. Currently slated to open in October, the restaurant will be the second Border Grill location in Las Vegas.

 

Chris Keating is no stranger to Border Grill, as he currently serves as the Executive Chef for the Border Grill located inside Mandalay Bay A recent alum of Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill Bahamas, Keating began his culinary training at the prestigious Johnson and Wales University. From there he has held various roles in kitchens across the country including Bert’s Seafood Grill, Marisol Bistro and Revival Grill in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. “It’s truly an honor to continue this fruitful journey with my Border Grill family,” said Keating. “This transition is another chapter in my story with Border Grill, and I can’t wait to see what new successes we will be able to achieve together.”

 

Originally hailing from New York, General Manager Jennifer Holley began her professional career in Las Vegas over a decade ago as part of the opening team at Steve Wynn’s Bellagio. She has since held various positions at the prestigious Bellagio, Encore, and Wynn resorts, including Manager at Switch Steakhouse and Country Club, General Manager at La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway, and Department Head of the Banquet Beverage Team for Wynn and Encore. Her dedication to her craft has earned her the distinction of MGM Mirage Mixology champion and Wynn Resorts Management All Star as well as an All Star Student nod from Southern Wine & Spirits. She has also served as co-chair for the annual Taste of the Nation Las Vegas®, since 2009. Her appreciation for service along with her drive to connect with the community makes her a perfect fit for Border Grill.

 

Agustin Guevara, after originally attending school to study fashion, began his career in the culinary arts at Kendall College in his hometown of Chicago. He later moved to Las Vegas, holding positions at Bellagio and Caesars Palace, including a 9 year stint at Mesa Grill. Guevara joined the Border Grill team earlier this year and has since been training under Keating at Mandalay Bay.

 

Nicole Grimes, a native of Pittsburg, refined her culinary talents at Le Cordon Bleu College for Culinary Arts, and put her skills to the test at several restaurants inside The Broadmoor resort in Colorado. Allured by the Las Vegas dining scene, she moved to Las Vegas to be part of the opening of Rao’s inside Caesars Palace. After working her way up in the kitchen, Grimes made the move to Los Angeles to open Rao’s Hollywood. Grimes is now making her grand return to Las Vegas as part of the Border Grill family at The Forum Shops at Caesars.

For the ninth consecutive year, Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo will participate in Las Vegas Restaurant Week Aug. 22 to Aug. 28 by offering a multi-course, prix-fixe menu to benefit Three Square Food Bank. A portion of each meal sold during Restaurant Week will be donated to Three Square to help in its fight to end hunger in Southern Nevada.

“We remain dedicated to this worthy cause. Our team looks forward to pushing ourselves to create a better menu every year. This month’s menu, in our opinion, is our best to date,” says André Rochat, executive chef, Andre’s.

This year’s menu consists of three courses beginning with the Waldorf Salad (butter lettuce, granny smith apples and celery root, topped with walnut crème fraîche) or Warm Artichoke Soup with smoked duck croquettes.

For guests wishing to add a second course, there will be an additional $15 charge for Pan Seared Duck Foie Gras with a verjus reduction, dried fruit and almond custard tart.

The entrée selection will be the Braised Beef Short Ribs (butternut squash purée, shaved brussels sprouts with spiced cipollini onion jus) or Red Wine Glazed Arctic Char (creamed leek fondue and heirloom fingerling potato chips) or Vegan Crispy Eggplant and Heirloom Quinoa Cakes (sautéed kale and roasted red pepper purée).

Ogden’s Hops & Harvest is hosting its first-ever beer pairing dinner featuring Big Dogs Brewing Company on Tuesday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. Chef Bradley Ogden has created a delicious four-course menu to accompany each beer offered at $75 per person including tax and gratuity.

“Pairing beer with dinner is a wonderful way to enhance flavors and notes in the cuisine,” said Chef Bradley Ogden. “Each beer was selected to complement the fresh and seasonal ingredients that are found in all of our dishes.”

The dinner will begin with trays of passed appetizers including Dungeness Crab Cakes served with celery and lemon-dill aioli, Chicken Salad with grapes and crispy pita and Potato Croquette with chive crème fraiche served alongside a sample of Big Dogs Imperial Pilsner which features a crisp, floral flavor and mild hop aroma.

The first course will consist of a Blue Cheese Soufflé of beets, frisee, honey and lavender almonds with a sample of Big Dogs Raspberry Wheat, a dry and fruity, crispy wheat beer.

More than 16 million American children face hunger. This September, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign by raising funds in their restaurants. From September 15th through September 22nd guests will be able to donate $5 or $10 to No Kid Hungry, and will receive $5 or $10, respectively, back to use on their next visit to Grimaldi’s. 100% of the raised proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry. Beginning, Friday September 6, the Rampart Buffet features Seafood & Crab Legs Night where guests may enjoy delicious crab legs and slow roasted prime rib, carved to order.
