Over-the-Top Christmas Decorations, Festive Cocktails,
Christmas Movies and Magical Guest Appearances
Tailgate Social Sports Bar & Grill at Palace Station Hotel & Casino, has undergone a magical transformation into a winter wonderland, creating the perfect setting to celebrate the joyous holiday season. Throughout December, Tailgate invites guests to celebrate the holidays with specialty cocktails and drinks, beloved Christmas movies, plus special appearances from the Grinch and Santa Claus on select Fridays.
Tailgate Social has been adorned with extravagant decorations, to surround guests with the holiday spirit. To elevate the experience, Tailgate will screen holiday films throughout the month, including classics such as “Elf,” “Home Alone,” and others.
Adding to Tailgate’s over-the-top festive atmosphere and movie screenings, from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, Saturday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 23 the restaurant will welcome everyone’s favorite holiday icons: the Grinch, Santa Claus and his elves.
Specialty cocktails, available exclusively this month, include Santa’s Break, made with cinnamon-infused whiskey, amaretto, heavy whipping cream, egg whites and cinnamon simple syrup and garnished with mint and powdered sugar, served in a festive Santa bulb glass; Filling Santa’s Shoes featuring tequila and coconut horchata, topped with chocolate whipped cream and powdered sugar and presented in a unique Santa shoe vessel; Christmosa, made with champagne, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, Pama pomegranate liqueur and garnished with pomegranate seeds; and Drink Up Grinches, crafted with Citron vodka, Midori, simple syrup and lemon juice, topped with green cotton candy and sugared cranberries, served in a plastic Grinch cup. All specialty holiday cocktails are priced at $12.
In addition to its spirited sips, Tailgate will also serve a selection of specialty drinks throughout the month for children and adults alike, including the Frosty, made with vanilla syrup and club soda, completed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream chocolate sprinkles with a chocolate sprinkled rim; Elf Juice, made with white cranberry juice, Sprite and lime juice, finished with a green sprinkle rim and topped with powdered sugar and cranberry ice; and Crockpot Hot Chocolate, hot chocolate topped with coconut whipped cream and toasted marshmallows with a red and green sprinkled rim. Each of these mocktails is priced at $8. 
Guests will be able to stay warm while surrounded by holiday cheer with Tailgate’s vast menu of elevated eats, such as warm pretzel bites topped with sea salt and served with cheese fondue, priced at $12; a prime rib French dip, crafted with thinly sliced prime rib, white cheddar cheese and house made horseradish cream served on a warm toasted pretzel roll with a side of au jus, priced at $17; and the spicy Abe Froman pizza, featuring marinara sauce, Italian sausage, sautéed peppers and onions, mozzarella and spicy agave chile, priced at $24.
