CSI: The Experience at MGM Grand to Host “CLUB CSI” Book Launch Event
Meet the author and check out the newest mystery series to hit the literary scene
In celebration of the new CLUB CSI book series, CSI: The Experience at MGM Grand is hosting a book launch event on April 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s newest branch, the Windmill Library, 7060 W. Windmill Lane, at South Rainbow. The event is free and open to the public.
CLUB CSI author David Lewman will be present at the event to rally the excitement for the new series; he’ll be on hand to sign book copies as well. There will be limited CSI: The Experience freebies, and two CSI– themed prize packs will be awarded throughout the evening.
Based on the popular CBS television series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CLUB CSI features a crew of Las Vegas junior high school students inspired by their forensic science class to form a “Club CSI” to solve crimes and mysteries at school. The first two books of the series, The Case of the Mystery Meat Loaf and The Case of the Missing Moola, will be available in paperback and hardcover at the end of April.
Author David Lewman is no stranger to creating literature based on popular television series. He has written more than sixty-five books starring kid favorites such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron, the Fairly OddParents, G.I. Joe and the Wild Thornberrys. He has also written scripts for many acclaimed television shows.
The CLUB CSI series is published by Simon Spotlight, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, and CBS Consumer Products.
CSI: The Experience is a challenging and fun multi-sensory attraction that places guests in the role of a crime scene investigator as they solve one of three true-to-life mysteries. The unique experience spans an impressive 12,000 square feet and features dazzling special effects, meticulous crime scene recreations and two state-of-the-art crime labs. Through hands-on activities and the use of real equipment, patrons are given the tools to gather the evidence, investigate the scene and solve the crime.
Located along MGM Grand’s Studio Walk, CSI: The Experience is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the last entry at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the MGM Grand Box Office or by phone at (702) 891- 7006 or (877) 660- 0660. Special group pricing is available for parties of 15 or more. Advance ticket purchases are recommended. CSI: The Experience is designed for guests 12 years of age or older.
