Vegas Stand Up & Rock showcases live entertainment at OYO Hotel & Casino, located footsteps from the Las Vegas Strip and MGM Grand at 115 E. Tropicana Ave. This month, comedian Nikki Carr will headline at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 26, Vegas Stand Up & Rock will host The Comedy Reviewers’ “Red Carpet Special” at 7 p.m.

About Vegas Stand Up & Rock
- Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m.: nightly comedy with nationally touring headliners: Produced by Vegas JEM, the team behind the award-winning L.A. Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower, Vegas Stand Up & Rock hosts nationally touring comedians at 7 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday.
- Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m.: shows vary by night
- Sunday at 9 p.m.: Black 11 Entertainment Presents: Barz & Notez: Barz & Notez brings together a nationally touring comedian and all-female band at 9 p.m. on Sundays.
- 9 p.m., days vary: On select weekend nights, live music takes over the 9 p.m. slot, produced in conjunction with Outlaw Entertainment, from producers, promoters and brothers Jason and Ray Outlaw.
Guests must be 18 years or older to attend all shows. Comedy ticket prices start at $29.95 plus taxes and fees; live music tickets start at $10 plus taxes and fees. Vegas Stand Up & Rock is honoring active duty and retired military personnel for their service with complimentary tickets for shows on Thursday and Sunday nights. To redeem this offer, guests can show their valid military ID at the door, or by emailing [email protected] with the guest’s name, time and date of the show, number of tickets and proof of their military ID. Nikki Carr weaves her life experiences as a woman, lesbian, mother and grandmother into her hilarious stand-up routines. She has appeared on several TV shows and comedy specials including BET’s “Comic View,” “One Mic Stand” with Kevin Hart, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and Martin Lawrence’s “1st Amendment Stand Up.” Her impressive resume also includes independent films like “Gold Digger Killer,” Change the Game” and “Ass Backwards” with Alicia Silverstone and Jon Cryer. Carr has also performed all over the world, including at military bases in Kuwait and Iraq.
- Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7p.m.: “Red Carpet Special” by The Comedy Reviewers
The Comedy Reviewers’ “Red Carpet Special” will present an evening of non-stop laughter and small bites. Hosted by Michael Robertson, the “Red Carpet Special” will feature a packed lineup of hilarious comedians, including Carlos Anthony, Jimmy McMurrin, Butch Bradley, Mary Upchurch, Landry and Jay Reid. The night kicks off with a VIP cocktail and appetizer hour from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a comedy showcase from 7 to 8 p.m. After a brief, 30-minute intermission, the laughs will continue with a second lineup of hysterical comics starting at 8:30 p.m. General admission grants access to either the first or second show, excluding food. VIP ticket holders will have access to both shows and receive a wristband for food offerings. VIP guests are also welcome to stay for a fun-filled after party at 10 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase here.
