Las Vegas—July 14, 2023—Vegas Stand Up & Rock brings live entertainment back to OYO Hotel & Casino, located footsteps from the MGM Grand. This month, comedian Stoner Rob will headline the venue’s 7 p.m. shows. In addition, “Laugh After Dark” will also take over the showroom to film Byron Kennedy’s first-ever comedy special at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.

Produced by Vegas JEM, the team behind the award-winning L.A. Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Sky Pod, Vegas Stand Up & Rock hosts nationally touring comedians at 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday. Friday and Saturday brings live entertainment to stage during the 9 p.m. show. Black 11 Entertainment Presents: Barz & Notez to the stage, bringing together a nationally touring comedian and all-female band. On select weekend nights, live music takes over the 9 p.m. slot, produced in conjunction with Outlaw Entertainment, from producers, promoters and brothers Jason and Ray Outlaw.
Guests must be 18 years or older to attend all shows. Comedy ticket prices start at $29.95 plus taxes and fees; live music tickets start at $10 plus taxes and fees. Nikki Carr weaves her life experiences as a woman, lesbian, mother and grandmother into her hilarious stand-up routines. She has appeared on several TV shows and comedy specials including BET’s “Comic View,” “One Mic Stand” with Kevin Hart, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and Martin Lawrence’s “1st Amendment Stand Up.” Her impressive resume also includes independent films like “Gold Digger Killer,” Change the Game” and “Ass Backwards” with Alicia Silverstone and Jon Cryer. Carr has also performed all over the world, including at military bases in Kuwait and Iraq.

From Riverside, CA, Stoner Rob found his love for comedy in 2008 while working at a local radio station. As Rob interviewed professional comedians who came to promote their shows, he realized he wanted to pursue a career as a stand-up comic. One week later, Rob landed a highly sought-after gig at Ontario Improv. Fast forward to today, Rob is one of the most electrifying comics in the industry having worked with legends such as Tommy Chong. Rob is currently on tour in the U.S., performing at some of the most popular clubs in the country. Rob also recently released a debut comedy special with “Laugh After Dark.”

“Laugh After Dark,” the award-winning hit standup comedy TV show on Amazon Prime Video and Tubi with more than 70 million views online, will take over Vegas Stand Up & Rock to film Byron Kennedy’s first comedy special, with live music and an after party to follow. Kennedy, who made the leap from radio executive to the comedy stage, combines quick-wit and observational comedy a storytelling style all his own that has led to headlining gigs across the country, including The Grand Ole Opry.
