CELEBRATE WORLD OCEANS DAY AT SHARK REEF AQUARIUM AND
SIEGFRIED & ROY’S SECRET GARDEN AND DOLPHIN HABITAT JUNE 7-8
The Ocean Project and The World Ocean Network promote and coordinate World Oceans Day globally as a day to celebrate the majestic oceans that link us all together. In honor of this important day, Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay and Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage invite guests to participate in educational activities that demonstrate the impact everybody has on our oceans, even in the Las Vegas desert. This year’s theme is “Together we have the power to protect the ocean!”
Shark Reef Aquarium
What: Visit green sea turtles, sawfish, sharks and the more than 2,000 other animals in the exhibit while learning from leading conservationgroups about the importance of keeping the oceans clean. Other educational activities include artwork featuring renowned marine artist Wyland, children’s art projects and live dive demonstrations.
When: Saturday, June 7
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Price: Admission is $18 for adults; $12 for children (5 – 12); Children 4 and younger are free. Nevada residents with valid ID, $15 for adults; $10 for children (5-12); Certified divers receive $10 admission with valid certification card.

Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
What: Explore this sanctuary to uncover true insights into the impact people have on the future of the oceans and the creatures that inhabit them. Educational activities include artwork, pledge cards and poems created by Dean Allen Elementary School, a game to inform guests about recycling, the “Globe Game” to show water vs. land, “Sea Turtle Fishing” to illustrate the effects plastics and trash in the water haveon marine life, storytime and other arts and crafts activities.
When: Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8

Price: Admission is $15 for adults; $11 for children (4 – 12); Children 3 and younger are free. *Prices are discounted during the renovation process through June 2014.
