“The ‘Mac King & Susan G. Komen – Magic for a Cure’ fundraiser started as a one-month campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There was fantastic support from my pals in the audience and I decided to keep it going,” said King. “Two years later, together we have raised more than $13,000; proving that you can do little things everyday that will add up to one tremendous impact in the community. The fight against breast cancer is ongoing and I will continue supporting the cause with this fundraiser as long as the show exists.”

The fundraiser began in October of 2011 during Breast Cancer Awareness month when King ditched his famous yellow “cloak of invisibility” for a pink one to kick off the fundraiser. Guests of The Mac King Comedy Magic Show are encouraged to make a make a $5 donation after the show to receive two pink “Mac King & Susan G. Komen – Magic for a Cure” wristbands. In addition, those who purchase two merchandise items after the show will also receive two wristbands and King will donate $5 on their behalf. All proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada.

About Mac King:
Now in his 14th year of headlining afternoons at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Comedy-Magician Mac King captivates audiences as he casts out a fishing line over their heads and catches live goldfish out of mid-air, performs amazing sleights-of-hand, makes his head completely disappear in a paper bag, and renders himself invisible, all while remaining unbelievably funny. Because of his quick wit and extensive audience interaction, no two shows are alike.

Sought after worldwide, King has made television appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and all five of NBC’s “The World’s Greatest Magic” TV specials. Consistently recommended by fellow magicians, Teller of Penn & Teller fame, said about King “The best comedy magician in Vegas. He’ll fool you with his fantastically original tricks…” in a recent Wall Street Journal article. He has been recognized with numerous accolades including “Best Las Vegas Show” in the 2012About.com Reader’s Choice Awards. Las Vegas Review-Journal named his show the “Best Bargain Show” for ten straight years (2003-2013), “Best Family Attraction” in 2012, and “Favorite Male Las Vegan” in 2008. In 2011, he was deemed “Best Strip Headliner” in the Las Vegas Weekly’s “Best Of” Awards. King, a past NBC-TV “The World’s Greatest Magic Shows” regular, has also been decorated as Magic Magazine’s “Funniest Act in Magic,” the World Magic Awards’ “Best Comedy Magician” and the Magic Castle’s “Magician of the Year.”
