HAKKASAN LAS VEGAS RESTAURANT CELEBRATES CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH FESTIVE DINING EXPERIENCE

Hakkasan Las Vegas Restaurant, the celebrated two-level dining destination inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, is the perfect location to gather with friends and loved ones to celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year. This highly-acclaimed culinary mecca, known for its modern Cantonese cuisine, will present a special menu starting Wednesday, Jan. 29.

To welcome the start to the Chinese calendar, Hakkasan will feature entertainment to highlight the New Year. Believed to bring good luck and fortune, the lion dance will be at the epicenter of the restaurant’s celebration, being performed spontaneously on the first day, Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 of the restaurant’s Chinese New Year celebration. Lion troupes will make their way through the intimate latticed woodwork cages of Hakkasan’s 20,000 square feet of space, offering symbolic expressions of luck, fortune, wisdom and joy.

In addition to Hakkasan’s traditional menu offerings, guests will be able to dine on the most unique culinary creations in the city to ring in this customary Chinese holiday. Michelin-starred Chef Ho Chee Boon, who is responsible for producing Hakkasan’s finest signature dishes will create an exclusive specialty menu including Honey veal chop with bell peppers, Stir-fry Chilean sea bass in sanpei sauce, Deep-fry seafood with pine nuts and many more. Additionally, guests can finish their meal with a decadent dessert tasting of handmade petits fours to match the good fortune of the Year of the Horse, highlighting the taste, texture and colors associated with the holiday.
