Starting out as two devoted disciples of earlier soul greats, Daryl Hall & John Oates are soul survivors in their own right. They have become such musical influences on some of today’s popular artists that the September 2006 cover of Spin magazine’s headline read, “Why Hall and Oates are the New Velvet Underground.” Their artistic fan base includes Rob Thomas, John Mayer, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie and Gym Class Heroes who dubbed their tour “Daryl Hall for President Tour 2007.” One of the most sampled artists today, their impact can be heard everywhere from boy band harmonies, to neo-soul, to rap-rock fusion and more.

Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour featuring Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains & Airbourne Friday, Sept. 4 at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets start at $39.50 On sale now
The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour featuring Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains & Airbourne stops at The Joint. This year marks the third installment for Monster Energy Rock Allegiance; the event launched as a traveling tour back in 2011. In 2012, it became a “destination festival” in Hershey, Pa. that featured Stone Temple Pilots, Three Days Grace, Seether, Buckcherry, Fuel, Daughtry and more, commandeering Hersheypark Stadium over the Labor Day Weekend. This year, the fest returns to the road and brings American audiences the very best that rock music as a whole has to offer, with a decidedly international feel.

Danish superstars Volbeat will share the stage with HIM, a cult favorite from Finland whose fans are disciple-like in their devotion. All That Remains have scratched and clawed their way out of Massachusetts and rocketed up the radio charts over the past half-decade, all the while keeping a firm foothold in the hard rock scene. Airbourne have been making a name for themselves ever since emerging from Australia, armed with plenty of riffs and just as much attitude.

Electric features nine tracks in total – eight brand new Pet Shop Boys’ songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Last to Die.” The result is as uncompromising a collection of dance anthems as Pet Shop Boys have ever made.

Pet Shop Boys said, “Electric is very much set on the dance floor. Our latest album often evolves as a response to our previous album and, where as Elysium had a reflective mood, Electric is pretty banging! And working with Stuart Price on a studio album is something we have wanted to do for a very long time.”
