MIRACLE MILE SHOPS CELEBRATES KINDNESS BY COLLECTING FOUNTAIN DONATIONS FOR THE JOSH STEVENS FOUNDATION THIS JUNE

 

 

During the month of June, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will collect donations in its fountain for the Josh Stevens Foundation.

Through June 30, all coins tossed into the popular water feature as well as the center’s indoor rainstorm will be donated to the local nonprofit that promotes heartfelt, kind acts.

 

Created in memory of Josh Stevens, a 12-year-old boy who lost his life in a tragic accident, the Josh Stevens Foundation believes that genuine kindness born in the heart of a child deserves celebration. The foundation partners with schools, businesses and youth organizations across the country to encourage and recognize kindness.

 

Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with the Josh Stevens Foundation is part of its Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, which raises funds for nonprofit programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations.

Beauty will reign at the Miss Cupcake Pageant in the Showroom at Suncoast Hotel and Casino on Saturday, August 9.

Presented by Fit For The Crown and directed by owner/pageant coach Brittney Cobb, the pageant features crowning for multiple age divisions, from newborn to 16 years old, with more than $10,000 in cash and prizes to be awarded. Contestants will compete in Natural Beauty and Fun Fashion Wear, which will determine the crowning of 10 queens. Fifty additional awards will also be given, including an academic and community service award.

 

Miss Cupcake Pageant’s mission is to “inspire our youth to understand that true beauty is: something that shines from within,” and promote self-confidence, community service, academic achievement, leadership and healthy lifestyles.

 

Focused on positive aspects of pageantry such as giving back, positive body image and kindness, the Miss Cupcake Pageant has partnered with the Josh Stevens Foundation, an organization targeted towards inspiring kids to be more kind, more often. Contestants will receive a custom “Be Kind” shirt as part of their contestant goodie bag. The custom shirts will also be available for purchase during the event.  In addition, Fit For The Crown and the Miss Cupcake Pageant will sponsor the launch of Josh Stevens Foundation’s “Be Kind” program in one of the contestant’s schools, which will be revealed at the pageant.

 

Winners will appear at the Las Vegas Cupcake Bake-Off on August 10, also hosted at the Suncoast, as well as be active in many community service and charitable causes throughout the upcoming year.
