Two-mile inspirational walk at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve
This fall, usher in the new season with One Drop as it hosts the seventh annual Walk for Water on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. The educational walk pays tribute to the millions of women and children who walk to get water daily. Participants can carry buckets filled with water during their walk to simulate the challenging and at times, dangerous job, these people face. For more information, please visit Active.com.

Runaway with Cirque du Soleil
Saturday, March 15

8:30 a.m. 5k Run/1-Mile Walk
The Springs Preserve
Cirque du Soleil and the Springs Preserve will host the 13th annual “Run Away with Cirque du Soleil” 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk to kick-off ONE DROP World Water Week. Participants can run/walk alongside their favorite Cirque du Soleil characters at this annual event that includes live music, photo opportunities with the cast and a circus play area for children.
Runaway with Cirque du Soleil participants can register online through Thursday, March 13. Early Bird registration fee is $37 for the 5K Run and $27 for the 1 Mile Fun Walk through Saturday, March 1. After March 1, fees increase to $40 for the 5K Run and $30 for the 1 Mile Fun Walk. The first 1,200 participants to sign up will receive an event t-shirt.

For one extraordinary night, eight Cirque du Soleil productions will go dark and become one for ONE DROP, the non-profit organization established by Cirque du Soleil Founder Guy Laliberté. The 2nd annual One Night for ONE DROP – an original production created and directed by Mukhtar Mukhtar – will feature special guest performers including vocal superstars The Tenors and Cirque du Soleil artists, as they bring together the message of ‘ONE THOUGHT, ONE WORLD,’ as a metaphor of time, and its effect on society, telling us to create the world in which we want to live in, for this one-night-only extravaganza. One Night for ONE DROP is a joint effort between Cirque du Soleil and MGM Resorts International, which includes Mandalay Bay among its resorts, with proceeds supporting ONE DROP’s worldwide critical clean water access and education programs. A portion of the proceeds raised this night will also go to the Las Vegas Springs Preserve and its ongoing effort to support water conservation and sustainable living in the Las Vegas Valley.

ONE NIGHT FOR ONE DROP
On one extraordinary night, and in an unprecedented manner, seven Cirque du Soleil productions, in partnership with MGM Resorts International, will become one for One Drop. ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP, a global philanthropy event to raise funds and awareness to ensure water is accessible across the globe, will feature artists from each of the seven Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil productions in a once-in-a-lifetime performance Friday, March 22 at Bellagio’s Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil“O” Theatre.
ONE DROP, a non-profit organization created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects worldwide and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues. Since its inception in 2007, ONE DROP has worked to provide access to clean, safe water for more than 300,000 people.
ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP will be held on World Water Day celebrating the earth as an artistic creation and highlight water as the essence of life within the earth’s ecosystem. All of the Cirque du Soleil shows on The Strip will close their doors allowing the employees and artists to collaboratively participate in this extravaganza. Special guest artists are expected to perform in addition to the incredibly talented Cirque du Soleil casts.
Proceeds raised from ONE NIGHT for ONE DROP will support the organization’s worldwide critical clean water access and education programs and a portion of the proceeds raised this night will go to the Las Vegas Springs Preserve and its ongoing effort to support water conservation and sustainable living in the Las Vegas Valley.
